Re: NASCAR 21: Ignition Announced, Releases on October 28
Nothing like waiting till the last weekend of the season to release a game. LOL Honestly I think they'd be smarter waiting till Daytona of next season.
Looks good though. Assuming cup series only, which honestly is what I figured. Whether or not I buy it depends on what "post launch" means for Next Gen upgrade. Is that F1 2021 3 new tracks "post launch" that we are still waiting on? lol

Agreed, really dumb releasing the game with only 2 races left in the season. Should've just waited until February/March 2022 and released it at the beginning of next season. Cup only with no Xfinity or Trucks is also a major disappointment.

Gotta get those Christmas sales from what I understand, but yeah. February would be desirable.

Is only Cup Series confirmed?
I hope not. I know the usual story with a franchise reboot in new hands or on a new generation is to cut some features, but hopefully the need for those things in a proper career mode is obvious to the Devs.
I’m not the primary NASCAR fan in the family, so this is essentially already bought here, but if it was actually up to me, I’d wait to see if the initial reaction to the game was promising… like if the team/game was headed in the right direction… and if it was, throw support behind it.
My claim to fame? I started the most popular thread of all time on OS: The Photographic Side of NCCAA11. It has now become an OS staple for several games.

It’s essentially a brand new completely updated game. It ducks about the lack of Trucks and Xfinity, but those will come. Just make the game fun. And if they’re releasing it 2 races from the end of the season we’re probably getting a major DLC for the new car/22 season (I would think). But either way it looks like it’s taking the right steps, can’t wait to see gameplay.

I didn’t see any damage to the cars crashing in that video. Hopefully that is fixed.
I sure hope so.
Nothing like seeing a crash and a car get hit multiple times, only to find him back out in the race with no damage.
For those that don't want damage/DNF's then make it an option, but those of us that want sim racing where the fear of wrecking is a thing, please have realistic damage models and DNF's.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

To be fair, next gen car comes out next year. So I can see why they don't want to release a game for the 2022 season based on the current 2021 car. Granted they could make the 2022 car DLC.

I mean, all of the NASCAR Heat games released in September with the exception of 5. The last game to actually come out when the season started was NASCAR '14.

You are correct, but it’s normally within first two weeks of September. NASCAR 21 comes out a month to a month and half later then 2,3&4.

Everyone complaining without acknowledging that this is basically a brand new NASCAR game from the ground up. It's not gonna be completely fleshed out. But it seems very promising and light years ahead of the NASCAR Heat series. The NASCAR Heat series was such a disappointment from the word go despite having all 3 top series in it.
Atlanta Braves
Atlanta Falcons
Auburn Tigers
Detroit Red Wings
Winnipeg Jets
