NASCAR 21: Ignition Next-Gen Upgrade Available Today - Patch Notes

Is there any word on this? I read that we would get a next-gen update in April.

re: NASCAR Ignition Next-Gen Upgrade

Great question. I bought this thing based on this as well.

I dare say chalk it up as another lie.

Not like it would make it playable anyways. It would just be a more polished turd.

It’s unfortunate.

I'm paying fairly close attention to this. Not because I have any intention of getting it but feel like it could be a barometer for what the future holds.

I’m guessing we either get this late or NASCAR finds a way to get out of its license and we don’t get it at all

There's a third possibility I think.

Motorsports financial situation and overall health are worse than we thought and it doesn't get released. The company goes bankrupt and Nascar is free with its license without having to do anything.

For your second scenario, I think even if Nascar is legally able to get out of the deal, the upgrade would still be released if it is in a position to do so. Of course if it doesn't get released Nascar may be able to use that in their fight to escape the deal.

I find it funny they are running out of funds yet are still sponsoring a car soon.

Safe to say it was scrapped at this point.
