Actually Coaching Carousel does need to be on because if it isn't on the coaches never progress....its a design flaw IMO. The contract performance is what is tied to coaches progression, it's a pain in the butt though for sure.

Re: Offseason Schedule

North Texas lost some good recruits from last season

DE Jones 79 overall to UNC
WR Bailey 75 overall to Ole Miss was redshirted
MLB Thomas 63 overall to UNM

Jones had a shot to see a bigger role this year if he improved, but wasn't going likely to start.

Bailey was going to have a shot for the 3rd/4th WR and might have had a start in after Harper leaves next year.

Thomas might not have made the team next year.

North Texas has already lined up replacements for those positions. Was hoping to have great depth at a few key positions, but it will make cuts easier.

Perhaps we should turn up the recruiting from the beginning though so we don't all get the insane recruits that we do now. It may balance things a bit better from the start.
Who gets insane recruits? FIU and San Jose state? I'm lucky to have gotten 3 four stars in 5 seasons. :-). As for choice of teams I'm for picking in some sort of order but random not based on a ranking system that we already know the top 3 to 4 teams.
