Re: 2017 Week 9

North Texas became bowl eligible very early this year behind a great offensive performance. Bates in his first start, completed nearly 20 in a row after 3 early incompletions. This was best offensive games that didn't involve overtime in seasons despite a slow start and coach holding back in the 4th. 48 points, 483 yards.
Bates was 22/26 330 3 TDs, Walton was 32/ 131 3 TDs. Backup RB Wesley saw a little action late and on his first carry he gained 26 yards, coaches might have to find a way to get him more involved this season.

6 sacks and a pick and holding USM no huddle offense to 21 was a good job compared to past seasons where USM was one of teams that gave North Texas fits. North Texas is working hard trying to impress voters to crack the top 25. Next up for the Green Wave is Tulane.
