Re: 2017 Week 5

Purdue loses at home to Stanford 69-0. 4 more INTs for QB Clifford. Less than 150 yards total offense. Selected the wrong playbook at the beginning of the game, but it shouldn't have made a difference. Still don't know how we beat Utah. In three losses so far, been outscored 179-14. Really hoping Purdue moves to the MAC next year.

Re: 2017 Week 5

MTSU could not survive the trip to Ann Arbor, my RB and best player was injured early and is out 5 weeks with a broken collarbone, had a chance to tie the game up with about a minute left in the 4th and got stuffed on 4th and goal, a couple plays later Michigan broke a huge TD run to seal it up

Re: 2017 Week 5

North Texas manages to win 24-7. I think I would have a shutout except for the pick that gave FAU a short field. FAU's scrambling qb gave NT's defense a major headache. He would take off instantly on pass plays. I think my D is doing through smoke and mirrors, I gave up some yardage but that Army game in the opener still has the HC wondering how good his D is. The offense can pull together a few good drives, but the lack of big plays on offense is holding it back. You can only have so many 12-15+ play drives.

NT goes to 4-0 heading into a bye week before a big showdown against La Tech. I worry that I won't have enough offense and a young secondary against that juggernaut offense.

THenry, I know about being on the bad end of some blowouts. Beware of the MLB picks, the MLBs are almost as bad as NCAA '12. I still have games where I am throwing tons of picks. You will get better, as you learn what does and doesn't work. Just hit the recruit trail hard to bring in some better players, maybe some JUCOs could make an immediate impact for you.

The QB that won the Heisman for me was a JUCO. I also got a JUCO MLB a few years back and was a stud for the two years I had him. It would be nice if there was a way to search for the,.

Re: 2017 Week 5

Auburn is rta.

However, I am going to have to drop out of the league. I knew going in that this would be my last game and attempted to take down a top 5 team but fell short. I apologize for leaving in the middle of a season but some unexpected changes have come up at work that will allow very little time to devote to this league. Again I apologize and wish I had another choice. Hopefully one day I will be able to and allowed to rejoin. For now good luck and have fun to all.
