That must be the problem... I believe I created my player before setting internet up on my XBOX. Does anyone think this will be patchable - either being able to use equipment on "offline" MyPlayers...

Pretty much this. Unfortunately, though, the first games of this generation were pretty awkward and disappointing from what I remember. NHL 07 was pretty mediocre, Madden 07 (and the next-gen 06)...

Yup, I found it happens the most out of shotgun. That's part of the reason why I've been using pistol as my base offense for a while now. That, and pistol has some mean downhill running formations.
