Early days, but the game is definitely an improvement over AO. The gameplay is much smoother, and none of those annoying gestures when a player hits a good shot.

Tiebreak Tennis, the official game of the ATP and WTA, is going to be available as an Early Access game on the PC, presumably through Steam, on the 11th January.

I think you'll find a lot of the players you're looking for are already there. I just checked, and there are 24,008 players that you can choose from to download.

Look in Setting then Credits. The version number is at the bottom of the screen. The latest version is 1580. It was a small patch that, apparently, fixed some animations.

Timing is very important. Start to aim early, as soon as your opponent hits the ball, and, as others say, turn on the the aiming indicator.
