I suspect it's likely about priorities. Putting resources into making defense smarter is not flashy and the bulk of people probably don't notice or care about it in general.

After diving into franchise mode, it'd be nice if the menus were snappier. Otherwise as someone who isn't big into football these days, the gameplay is solid enough.

2K defense is not dynamic enough, especially with match-ups. There are strict "put best defender on player x" logic but it's not fluid. In fact, some of the best defenders in the league don't always...

It's to be expected, but the game plays so differently USER vs USER compared to USER vs AI. Even solid users are going to make regular mistakes in positioning and reads, so it results in a free flow...

I still think purely in terms of gameplay, the changes haven't been that significant. The randomness in the game will always make it difficult to truly judge whether there have been actual changes...

I have seen plenty of these animations since day 1. There really isn't anything to fix because this doesn't happen every time and these type of push shots even from a few/several ft from the basket...

I believe this is about no doubling on bigs backing down guards. To be fair, the AI is aggressive to avoid switching -- so the frequency of this happening is not on the high side.

Playing default All-Star and I'm noticing that laying off turbo and just using basic movements can work well to create some open jumpers and also makes it feel like the defenders are less magnetic....
