It was actually put in due to goalies that handled the puck too well (I think some people even call it the Marty Brodeur rule). It made it harder to dump and chase, as the goalie would retrieve a lot...

That's interesting. I've played over 100 games, a few at Pro, many at All Star, most at Super Star. Adjusted sliders. Franchise, Play-offs and Play Now. Still never seen Interference, Cross Checking,...

This confirms my fear that simming games in franchise or playoff mode is like flipping a coin and has little to do with the talent level of the teams.
