Unfortinatley 2k doesnt allow custom sliders in mycareer to avoid vc farming. Thats why i playerlock in myleague as a work around.

Imo i actually find pro the best for me. But they all turn into custom the second you move a slider. The difficuly you start on before imputing them determines the base difficulty.

I just want more long rebounds. And the swish sound. When watching a game you can hear the ball rip the net on swishes. In 2k not a sound.

Sounds like you just need to lower the cpu play pass lanes slider. And cpu go for on ball steals as well.

I dont think this issue can be properly solved with sliders. Its more of a coaching settings fix. Play tight both on and off ball. No switching and go over screens etc...

Its not cheating to adjust sliders to achieve more realism in gameplay/feel and stats. 2K is never ideal out of the box. I do however personally dislike adjusting them to give either the CPU or User...

Theres a few other things you can try if you havent already. Make sure driving and inside shot contact sliders are both at 100. I also have cpu drive tendency in the 75-85 range.
