Check your TV settings. I had the same issue thinking that my display settings on the PS4 was correct. When I went into my tv picture settings my screen setting was set up "16:9" instead of "Native"....

Been leaving it on dynamic difficulty and it's been going higher in difficulty faster so it seems easier for me. First game in franchise I had 9 runs in one inning on veteran.
