The game is meant to simulate a career of a GM/coach, which means a few decades worth. I want to put pressure on the player to not %$#@ around and have the pressure of a real situation like that.

No. You gotta have at least a couple seasons, even if there are extreme cases in the NFL when that does happen. That's when game play trumps realism.
