Playing time effect on progression?

Does playing time for rookies/young players have any effect on progression? Is there any reason to play a younger player who is slightly worse than a better older player?

Yeah, I fixed Iowa St QB. I can't fix Auburns QB Trotter, who I just played. I was wondering why he kept trying to run but saw the glitch tonight. Makes me want to wait until the fix comes out.

On example in the game:
Dan Mullen has an B+, State's new DC who was co-DC is also a B+. No sense.
Kevin Steele, DC for Clemson, is an A. While Sinney is a B.
Bud Foster, DC for VT is a A+,...

Why do some DC/OC coordinators have a hire prestige then the HC of the same team?
Name one team who has a better coordinator then their HC (well, besides Auburn)
