I do as well. It seems as though there are maybe 4-5 different sounds this year as opposed to maybe 2 sounds the previous years.

And I like that the sounds vary depending on timing and where...

I agree with this take. The crack of the bat sounds better than the tech test, but is still off.

Seems like certain balls hit are programmed wrong for contact. Agree, maybe a patch can fix this.

After 5 exhibition games, some thoughts from a different perspective.

I play the 162-game season mode, and 99% of the time don't mash through cut scenes. Approximately 1.5 - 2.5 hours per game.

I found it. You have to turn on the 'Batter control displays' ON. Not that big of a deal, but I like to play more of a clean screen type game.

Anyone know how to activate the CPU pitcher repertoire and confidence bar when batting?

It was hold R2 last year. This year I only get the previous pitches.

Just went back and listened to the Jazz Chisholm video, and it's clear that the sound off the bat in that clip is from 22'

The crack of the bat isn't even close in this demo.

I guess it's perception, but the bat sounds awful this year. I agree the the pop of the catcher's mitt sounds better, but the bat sounds like an actors slate slamming closed. Action take 33...

THIS 100%. Over 30 games in, and this is true after moving around default contact at 5. I believe 5 is the number.

All of the above. I think the CPU should be taking more of pitches off the plate.I serve up walks, but if the CPU wouldn't swing so much I think the foulballs would be more walks.

Foul ball frequency is something that seems off. I have CPU at 4 and they seem to get 30+...

Yeah, for the most part the bats sounds are good...but that 'TICK' sound on perfect/perfect has to be fixed. Playing on PS4 pro with Sonos surround.

Are you having issues with contact/ perfect contact bat sounds when your playing the game? It doesn't appear that way on your video.
