Re: Free agency rules

Who do you guys think will make the most points ABOVE their base value?

I think it's Champ Bailey. His base is at 307. I bet he'll go for 450+ points.

Either Champ or Kurt Warner who i think could shoot up to the high 300's, i guess we'll see. I do think that there's a lot more talent in this year's free agent class than less year's.

I think Kurt might be the most coveted. Because he is the only elite QB out there.

Re: Free agency rules

Champ is going to get paid. Warner will get paid too. Both are old enough that owners can spend big knowing that there will be a high chance of both retiring at the end of next year and a low chance that either will decline significantly.

Both guys are at positions where top-tier talent makes a huge difference.

It looks like Cromartie came off the block at CB. I would have thought he'd demand a high value as well.

On this point, once we advance to the off-season, any cuts that are made will only get a break the following off-season (i.e. not immediately for the upcoming year). For that reason, it would be smart not to overbid because then you're stuck having to trade a player to be cap viable.

According to Pappy's system, I'm pretty sure that's correct. He'd have to confirm that, but that is my understanding.
