Spark 49ers vs Mecca Bengals Bengals advance

These are the first round games. Since we have 12 teams I will do another random.org to determine who gets a bye after the second round. This owner will automatically get a shot at the Tourney title. The winner will get a prize, more than likely a gift certificate to Chilis, Applebees, Outback, you know something like that. I will get in contact with the winner for their choice by PM or Meebo. Play when ever you want this is going live as of right now. Good Luck Fellas

Just updating.

Dubb's Saints Defeat Blaise's Titans 51-38

I'm typing this from memory so I may be off a bit. Chris Johnson is virtually the 2nd coming of Tecmo Bo on this game and he rushed for 335 yards many of them coming on long TD runs. Blaise jumped out 21-7 early, but 5 costly fumbles ended up costing him the game. Drew Brees threw for 467 yards and 6 TD's to pace the Saints.

Great game to Blaise and I can easily see CJ2K putting up some insane numbers this year!

I'm hoping for a gameplay patch addressing defense before we start playing league games.

But if it doesn't come, playing on "all-madden" might be a decent substitute.

Re: ACQB Madden 11 Kickoff Classic

Has there been a Madden patch that hasn't required a restart? I can't recall, but if there's a reasonable chance that the patch will apply to current OFs, then moving forward would be a good idea. If it's like last year, we may have to wait some.

The problem is that we haven't received any indication about what the patch will be and when it will be released. That means that it would probably a month and a half or two before we would actually see any changes made. That's too long to wait, imo.

Re: ACQB Madden 11 Kickoff Classic

The reason we restarted our Madden 10 league was the week 1 roster update.

Title updates (patches) are applied to the game automatically.

That is why I suggest waiting to kick off the new season until we have week 1 rosters up for online franchise.

Many teams' current rosters haven't even been updated since Madden 10 aside from the addition of new rookies.

The Bills' Drayton Florence, for instance, is still listed at a 65 overall despite the fact that he started the final 13 games in the league's #2 pass defense and remains penciled in as a starting CB heading into the 2010 season.

Re: ACQB Madden 11 Kickoff Classic

Yes, that's correct about last year, to a point.

The real deal last year was that they didn't think about the consequences of not giving offensive players pursuit ratings. Presumably that issue has been addressed in this roster (since it got fixed last year).

Outside of the chance of a game defect emerging that is specifically tied to the way ratings were compiled in the roster file, there's no real reason to wait imo.

I guess it just depends on what the gameplay problems are and how closely they're linked to the roster file.
