29-20
29. Lamarr Woodley (PIT,NYJ,CIN)
Career Stats: 288 Tkl, 40 Sck, 7 Int, 10 FF
Signature Season: (2017, CIN) 27 Tkl, 11 Sck, 1 Int, 2 FF
Woodley was a monster in Pittsburgh and moved to the Jets in their revolving door of big name defensive players. He really has showed even more dominance the last two years in Cincy.
28. Ryan Mathews (SD)
Career Stats: 8350 Yds, 5.1 Avg, 106 Tds
Signature Season: (2013) 1479 Yds, 5.7 Avg, 16 Tds
One could argue that Mathews should be higher on the list based on stats alone, but despite his stats, his teams were never dominant.
27. Justin Tuck (NYG,ATL, WAS)
Career Stats: 231 Tkl, 60 Sck, 16 FF
Signature Season: (2013, WAS) 37 Tkl, 14 Sck, 7 FF
Tuck was QB's nightmare every season. His 2013 season was the stuff of legends as he sacked the QB 14 times, and caused 7 forced fumbles.
26. Patrick Willis (SF)
Career Stats: 591 Tkl, 38 Sck, 13 Int, 11 FF
Signature Season: (2013) 91 Tkl, 4 Sck, 2 Int
Willis was the heart to one of the SFL's best defenses. Whether blitzing, in coverage, or stopping RB's he did it all.
25. Maurice Jones- Drew (JAC,NYJ, DAL)
Career Stats: 9296 Yds, 5.2 Avg, 91 Tds, 188 Rec, 2056 Yds, 14 Tds
Signature Season: (2013,DAL) 1525 Yds, 5.9 Avg, 19 Tds
MJD was simply one of the hardest ballcarriers to tackle in the SFL. He helped Dallas to some dominant years.
24. Braylon Edwards (NYJ,NYG)
Career Stats: 354 Rec, 8306 Yds, 23.5 Ypc, 84 Tds
Signature Season: (2010, NYJ) 61 Rec, 27.6 Ypc, 1685 Yds, 21 Tds
Edwards surely would have been higher on this list if not for his NYG years. He started off as one of the best receivers in the SFL and his production dropped once he switched locker rooms.
23. Brandon Jones (CIN)
Career Stats: 5095 Yds, 6.2 Avg, 60 Tds
Signature Season: (2013) 1203 Yds, 6.6 Avg, 14 Tds
One third of Cincy's "Triplets" Jones ran over everyone trying to tackle him. What can a defender really do when a ballcarrier is 6'7 271 lbs?
22. Greg Pope (CIN)
Career Stats: 11,902 Yds, 138 Tds, 109.1 Rtg
Signature Season: (2015) 3343 Yds, 37 Tds, 126.9 Rtg
Pope was seen as the missing piece to AC is Art and his Bengals and when he got there it showed. He has a ultra high winning percentage and made every tough throw.
21. Aaron Scott (CIN)
Career Stats: 303 Rec, 7161 Yds, 23.6 Ypc, 78 Tds
Signature Season: (2017) 43 Rec, 1334 Yds, 31 Ypc, 18 Tds
Pope to Scott was an all too common refrain in Cincy. Scott was a key contributor to the Bengals SFL Championship and dominated defenses around the league.
20. Kyle Wilson
Career Stats: 227 Tkl, 8 Sck, 43 Int, 9 FF
Signature Season: (2017) 20 Tkl, 9 Int,
Wilson was a part of the famed Jets defensive backfield which has 5 (!) members in the Top 50. QB's hated playing the Jets, and that was for certain.
19-6 Tomorrow!!!
