Season Wrap-Up/Playoffs Review
(9-7)Regular Season
(1-1) Playoffs(Loss in Divisional Round)

The second half of the season ended on a somewhat bad note. The issues that plagued us the first half of the season (lack of a running game, turnovers) crept up again. Also having to deal with owners who refused to read or comprehend the rules that are stickied at the top of this very sub-forum. With that said, we backed our way into the playoffs clinching the last wild card spot available in the AFC.

Our first playoff matchup was against one of the most consistent teams in the SFL in Tennesee. Without any prior experience against this team/owner we were a little unsure of how to attack the Titans. Brady threw three INTs that led to a pick six and two scoring possessions with a short field for Tennessee to work with. We dug ourselves in a hole, and had to rely on our defense to bring us back. Constant pressure left rookie QB Jake Locker flustered and we contained CJ enough to mount a comeback.

In the second round we faced long time rival Lbzrule and the undefeated Baltimore Ravens. We knew we would need to prepare and execute a great gameplan against this owner. We established momentum early in the game striking twice on the scoreboard before Baltimore did. However, you almost have to expect at least a few turnovers against a stacked defense like B-more. Brady played a clean game, but our running backs and receivers fumbled three times allowing B-more an opportunity to stay in the game.

The game would come down to a 4th and long attempt by B-more who went for the go-ahead score with 12 seconds left on the clock. While its disappointing to lose we have a lot of respect for the Ravens and we're unable to truly be mad losing to a team like that. We feel we're almost where we want to be and will use this a stepping stone for the next season.

2012 First Quarter Review (2-2)

Kicking the season off against a division opponent is always exciting. Having lost to the Tombsong Bills at the end of the 2011 season, we were looking to return the favor in 2012. The revamped defense didn't disappoint, forcing rookie QB Newcomer to throw 3 INTS and a 54% completion percentage. This was also the coming out party for Jerod Mayo in his new LEO position racking up 3 sacks. Brady played a clean game throwing 3 TDs and the additions of rookie tailback and fullback Nyjee Dyer & Brady Bennett have given this offense a dearly needed balance.

We would follow up with another division game against the New York Jets. At one point the score was 28-0 and Taylor Mays was looking like the reincarnation of Sean Taylor. However a safety on our part and a conservative gameplan allowed NYJ to get back into the game. The point deficit was too much for NYJ to overcome and we found ourselves 2-0 and on top of the AFC East.

Next up was the commish and the Philly Eagles. It was a close game with little to no time to generate any kind of passing game, or offense for that matter. It was a bitter loss and we feel confident should we ever have to face that team again.

Another NFC East game to cap off the first quarter of the season as we faced the Dallas Cowboys in Cowboys Stadium. It ended up being a shootout thanks largely in part to an uncoverable 71 OVR wide receiver..... We find ourselves at 2-2 and wondering if we will finally establish ourselves as a dominant force in the SFL.

Re: La-li-lu-le-lo(The Patriots)

Due to the significant time Wes Welker will miss, New England is now in the market for a receiver.

Any front offices looking to move a receiver please, contact me via PM or XBL message.

Looking to make something happen before the trade deadline next week.

Second Quarter Review (4-0)

Suffering two back to back losses, We were looking to start the second quarter of the season on a good note. Amassing over 700 yards passing in two games with Tom Brady, its safe to say he's on fire and playing MVP football right now. Really the offense as a whole is performing at an elite level outscoring our opponents 162-80 during this stretch of the season. Rookie runningback Nyjee Dyer is on pace to reach over 1,000 yards rushing and has made opponents finally have to account for the run.

Our receiving core has been hurt throughout the season but TE Rob Gronkowski is shouldering the load, racking up over 600 yards receiving and tied for the league leader in TDs(10).

If one was to look at our defensive statistics you would think the defense is pretty meh. DE Jermaine Cunningham, with his 11 sacks isn't having the record breaking season he had previously but that just means collectively as a team we are getting more pressure leading the league in sacks(44) and INTs(25).

We give up a ton of passing yards(30th against the pass) but thats only because we obtain and maintain the lead so early in the game we play "bend but don't break" defense to finish it out. Taylor Mays(8 INTs, 1 TD, 5 FF) and Laron Landry(5 INTs, 4 FF) are proving to be the best safety tandem in the league and give us the luxury to do many things scheme wise.

In short we're playing good football on offense and defense. If we continue at this pace we'll get to where we want to be...

See you in the third quarter.

Tom Brady looked at the trading thread... He's thoroughly happy that the NY Jets traded their quote-unquote "best corner."

Tom Brady : No audible! We're just attacking that wack nickel DB over there in the starting spot...
