Miami Dolphins Page

After The Dolphins Lost Their 2 Main Running Backs In Ronnie Brown And Ricky Williams And Failed To Sign A Better Quarterback They Start Off The Season In A Tough AFC East Division That Includes The Patriots, The Jets And The Bills.
Although The Dolphins Did Sign Reggie Bush, Veteran LB/DE Jason Taylor And Rookie Mike Pouncey It May Not Be Enough To Get Them Where They Are Trying To Go.

"If Chad Henne Can Get The Ball Out To His Receivers And His Main Target Brandon Marshall Then We Can Have Hope Heading Into The Season", Said Head Coach Smith Of The Miami Dolphins.
On The Defensive Side Of The Ball The Focus Is On Their Linebackers Cameron Wake, Jason Taylor And Middle Linebacker Karlos Dansby. Their Defensive Line Is Nothing To Look Over Either With Kendall Langford, Randy Starks, Paul Soliai, And Koa Misi. Not To Mention Vontae Davis At Cornerback.

We Will Get To See How The Dolphins Come Out The Gate Against The Patriots In Their First Week Match Up.

Re: Miami Dolphins Page

Week 1:
Patriots 35 Vs Dolphins 41

Vs

Bush Injured In Season Opener

In A Match Up Of AFC East Rivals It Was A Game Of Quarterbacks And Defense. One Of The Best Quarterbacks In The League In Tom Brady Against A Quarterback that Needs Improvement In Chad Henne.

"As The Game Started Off I Knew It Was Going To Be A Tough Game To Play." Said Coach Smith "Even Though We Are At Home They Are One Of The Toughest Teams To Beat And Close Out." As The Game Progressed Both Henne And Brady Threw For Tough Interceptions Which Included One At The End Of The Second Quarter By Nolan Carroll For A 69 Yard Touchdown. But At The End Of The First Half The Dolphins Were Still Down 21-14. During Halftime Defensive Coordinator Told The Press That Karlos Dansby Had A Great Motivational Speech To The Defensive Players Which Got Their Head Into The Game And Left The The Patriots Scoreless In The 3rd Quarter. Coming Into The Fourth With The Score Tied At 21-21, Karlos Dansby Intercepts Tom Brady's Pass And Returns It For A 12 Yard Touchdown 30 Seconds Into The Fourth. But Brady Comes Back And Throws A 62 Yard Touchdown To Taylor Price Tying The Score Once Again. After 2 FG Kicks By Dan Carpenter For The Dolphins They Lead 28-34. On The Next Series Tom Brady Throws A 68 Yard Touchdown Pass To Wes Welker To Give Them The Lead By 1 Point. With Less Then A Minute Left Chad Henne Comes Into His "2 Minute Drill" Offense And Tries To Make Something Happen But Soon Throws A Pick Which May Have Ended It For The Dolphins But Karlos Dansby Forces A Huge Fumble That Paul Soliai Picks Up An Runs For A 38 Yard Touchdown Which Sealed The Game.

This Was A Bad Game For The Dolphins Even Though They Came Out With A Win This Proves They Have A Lot More To Improve On. Brandon Marshall Needs To Step It Up. And Chad Henne Needs To Get Marshall The Ball. The Dolphins Also Suffered The Loss Of Reggie Bush Due To An Injury. Bush Will Not Be Able To Play For 3 Weeks Due To An Upper Arm Fracture. Daniel Thomas Will Be The Starter For Next Weeks Game Vs The Texans. Wen Asked About The Game Coach Smith Replied, "This Was A Great Game By 2 Great Coaches An I Look Forward To See Ac Is Art Again This Year."

Week 2:
Texans 31 Vs Dolphins 39

Vs

Dansby's 3 Int Fuels Miami Comeback

Coming Off A Disfigured Game Against The Patriots The Dolphins Look To Start Up Their Offense Without The Presence Of Reggie Bush Who Got Injured In The Match Up Against Their Rivals.

The Texans Came Out The Gate Quick As Matt Schuab Connected On An 83 Yard Touchdown Pass To Justin Gage. Half Way Through The First Dan Carpenter Connects On A 34 Yard Field Goal To Make The Score 7-3 In Favor Of The Texans. Later In The First, Glover Quin Jr Returns A 10 Yard Fumble Recovery Into A Touchdown To Increase Their Lead By 11. The Dolphins Got The Better Half Of The Texans In The 2nd Quarter Outscoring Them By 7 Points Courtesy Of A 7 Yard Touchdown Run By Daniel Thomas And An Interception Touchdown By Karlos Dansby.

After Halftime The Score Is 21-17 Texans Up Before Half. Texans Then Add On 10 More Points To Make It 31-17 . After A Dan Carpenter FG The Dolphins Are Down By 11 Going Into The Fourth Quarter. "Hopefully Our Defense Can Get Us Into This Game", Said Karlos Dansby On A Sideline Report. As Karlos Dansby Had Hoped The Defense Helped Get The Dolphins Back Into The Game. In The Fourth The Dolphins Stunned The Texans Leaving Them Scoreless And Racking Up 19 Points In The 4th To Get The Late Comeback Over The Houston Texans And Start The Season Off On A High Note With A Record Of 2-0. After The Game Coach Smith Was Asked How Big Of A Factor Has Karlos Dansby Been To The Team And He Said 'Huge We Could Not Have Pulled Out The Win If Not For His 3 Interceptions And Contribution To The Team In And Out The Locker Room.' The Dolphins Next Match up Will Be Against The 0-2 Browns. Bush Will Still Be Out But They May Not Need Him For This Game. Will The Dolphins Stay Undefeated Or Will The Browns Get A Win, Someones Streak Will Be Snapped.

Week 3:
Dolphins 23 Vs Browns 16

Vs

Dolphins Slip By Browns To Stay Undefeated

A Week After Karlos Dansby Was Voted Player Of The Week, The Dolphins Went On The Road To Play Their First Road Game Against The 0-2 Cleveland Browns. Wen Speaking To The Media Before The Game, Coach Smith Said He Was Looking Forward To His First Road Game And Believed The Dolphins Could Bring The Recent Success Of Playing At Home To The Road.

Early On In The Game The Browns Established The Run With Peyton Hillis But Couldnt Keep It Going As Peyton Hillis Fumbled Twice And Ended With 0 Touchdowns On The Game. "Our Defense Started Off Slow Then It Improved A Little But I'm Still Disappointed On The Way We Played That Game"-Coach Smith. Dansby Was Asked What Does He Have To Say About That Comment And Replied "Coach Is Right, I Didn't Do As Much As Expected, I Had A Decent Game But Could Have Done Better But I Guess It Was Enough."
Lowest Scoring Game For The Dolphins As They Ended With 23 Points Because Of The Browns Good Defense. For The Second Game In A Row The Dolphins Were Without Their Starting Running Back Reggie Bush. Reggie Has Yet To Make An Impact In A Game This Year But Returns Next Week Against The Chargers.

Chad Henne Had Another Horrible Game Throwing 2 Interceptions And Going 15-30. If He Keeps Playing Like This Expect The Dolphins To Go After A Quarterback In The Draft Or Via Trade. If Miami Can Get The Quarterback Going They Could Have A Breakout Season. Henne Is Throwing Under 50% And Has Thrown More Int Than Touchdowns. We Will See How It Gets Before The Trade Deadkine And Make Our Decision From There.

Stats

Dolphins

Browns

Passing

With The Return Of Reggie Bush Next Week Against The Chargers That Will Be An Exciting Game To Watch. With One Of The Best Records In The League At 3-0 And A Surprising AFC Lead The Dolphins Are In Good Position For The Playoff. Coach Smith Replied Its Too Early To Talk About The Playoff Let Alone The Superbowl.

Week 4:
Dolphins 42 Vs Chargers 17

Vs

Bush's Return Sparks Offense, Phin's Stay Undefeated

In His First Game Back From Being Injured And Unable To Play Bush Brought Life Into The Struggling Dolphins' Offense. Before The Game Bush Said He Was Excited To Return And Wanted To Make A Huge Impact And That In Which He Did By Giving The Dolphins A Running Game. Henne Was Also Motivated About Bush's Return. "Most Teams Dont Worry About The Rush Because We Didn't Have Much To Offer Back There Wen Bush Was Injured But Now That He's Back This Should Be A Great Game".

Halfway Through The First Was The Game's First Score, A 3 Yard Run For Reggie Bush. Throughout Most Of The Game The Dolphins Rushing Game Was On Point. Bush Averaged More Than 8+ Yards A Carry. Chad Henne Had His Best Game Of The Season As Well Throwing 23-29 With 3 Touchdowns And 1 Int. "Im Hoping To Translate This Win To Our Next Game"- Chad Henne. The Dolphins Defense Was Also On Point Capitalizing On 6 Turnovers While Only Giving Up 1.

After Dansby's Game Last Week He Came Into This Game With A "Chip" On His Shoulder. "That's Not How The MVP And Defensive Player Of The Year Is Suppose To Play" Dansby Said Laughing. Dansby Made His Presence Known This Game Intercepting 2 Of Philip Rivers Passes And Forcing 2 Fumbles. Koa Misi One Of The Unknown Guys On This Defense Made 2 Sacks In The Game As Well. Coach Smith Said After The Game "I Want To Thank SuperSeahawks For Being The Chargers Sub-Head Coach For The Day Since The Original Owner Couldn't Make It With A "Death In The Family(Xbox)". Next Week Is The Dolphins Bye Week Which No One Is Happy About But When They Come Back They Face Their Division Rival Jets And Their "Shutdown Corner" Revis. Marshall Was Asked How He Felt Going Against Revis And Said "It Should Be A Great Game, Don't Want To Get Lost On The Island But I Have Faith In My Quarterback To Find Me If I Get Lost".
