Green Bay gloated for a whole year as being the only team to defeat the Falcons in the GA dome last year. Apparently the league got tired of it. They scheduled rematch and as fate would have it.. Aaron Rodgers and Roddy White who sport the 2-highest OVRs for their respective teams both missed the game. The Green Bay Defense was completely healthy though.. The problem with that was... So was Julio Jones. Jones put on a legendary display showing why he is the best in the SFL. (It only takes 1 quarter to slaughter your crew - Joe Budden). In the 2nd quarter he scored on Woodson (93OVR), Williams (95OVR) and Collins (97OVR).. in a display of dominance that had McCarthy ready to kill himself.
Matt Ryan - 20-29 375 Yards, 5 TDs, 0 Ints.
Julio Jones - 7 receptions, 174 Yards, 3 TDs (all the Tds scored in the 2nd quarter).
(It takes one quarter to slaughter your crew - Joe Budden).

Williams got hit with a double-move. Woodson got "Moss'd" and Collins gave up a bomb. All of this by Jones. Harry HD Douglas scored in the 3rd and Eric Weems scored in the 4th. Michael Turner had his first 100-yd game of the season..

Roddy stood on the sidelines with his flak jacket and clapped in approvement. After the game, White said that he hopes GB understands what the Atlanta offense is about right now. GB's defense who was completely healthy allowed almost 500 yards to Atlanta (That's MAD their BAD.)

That was a great game truth. I'm glad we're in the same division so we can play twice, looking forward to it. Hopefully I can pull the W out again haha!

The Atlanta Falcons are coming off their first regular season loss since Week 5 of Season 1. Here we are, exactly one calendar year later and the effect of losing still stings in the Dirty Bird locker room. The Falcons Linebackers section were sounding pretty confident on their latest episode of "Welcome to D-Block" where Curtis Lofton, often referred to as the mayor of D-Block was quoted as saying this is a Championship-caliber team and defense. Lofton often said that regardless of all the records, that the NFC team to beat was the defending NFC Champs, the Dirty Birdz of Atlanta.

Lofton was also quoted as saying that the keys to the defense was in his hands and offered his thoughts in regards to the Saints last week and the Texans this week. Curtis said that Brees was very accurate on those 5 yard passes all game and that the fact that Brees actually ran a "nickel-and-dime" type offense really surprised him, considering all the big-play weapons New Orleans has. Lofton also said that he's pretty familiar with the Texans offense and that Andre had to be accounted for. Lofton said that #OptimusGrimes and D.Hall would be up to the challenge to try and stop Andre.

Curtis was asked who was the best receiver in the SFL. Without hesitating for a split second, he says that the best receiver isn't just one receiver. He says his team sports to 2 very best receivers in the league. "Julio is very explosive." "Roddy is an all-around HOF'er at this point." You got Megatron, Reggie Wayne and Fitzgerald out there. But look at what Roddy and Julio do, when they are out there.. It's almost not even fair. Lofton says he's happy that the Falcons drafted a CB and a OLB, which the team needed when they let OG Mike P go this offseason. He's also happy with how his contract situation went down and how the Falcons didn't hesitate and immediately came up with a deal that satisfied him and locked him up for life. "The Falcons are the best organization in the league, it isn't even close."

The Atlanta Falcons, current NFC Champions, are not looking like they did last year. Last year, they were the model of consistency. This year, it's been something else.. Last year, they went 7-1 on the road and 7-1 in the dome. This season so far, the Falcons are 6-0 at home and 2-4 on the road... Abysmal, by their own standards. There was a point where the Falcons didn't resemble last year's team at all.

They knew a change had to be made. The offense went into a rut, Ryan started throwing picks, Turner struggled to get 3 yards a carry, or less, Roddy struggled after returning from injury and the defense had problems stopping the run. Coach Mike Smith started from the ground up in the middle of the season. Shuffled the line up around on defense, preached and tweaked the offense and the consistency started to show up.

The fruits of the labor in practice has shown up. The Falcons have been practicing against owner teams and owners for quite a while now. Testing the new stratagem against them and then applying it in the league games. The results have been promising. They've defeated TEN (although TEN gives the entire credit to Juliooooooooo). They bottled up Megatron in Detroit. They've been doing quite well.

The Falcons have a tough stretch of games on the way, including the NFC best record-holding Arizona Cardinals, the Jags who have a good record and the Saints, who defeated them earlier this year. The Falcons are looking to steamroll the rest of the schedule and head into the playoffs red hot. Only time will tell though. Stay tuned..
