Re: The Panther Page

Just one of those games..;Panthers season end as in blowout vs Eagles
Alldayy's impressive rookie season came to an end in the divisonal round vs the #1 ranked Eagles. The offense turned the ball over 6 times and the defense could not stop the run... at all. In the Week 3 win vs the Eagles, Carolina held the #1 Philly rushing attack to a meere 73 yards. They got all of that and plenty more in the first quarter, and had 200+ by halftime. The first quarter ended 21-14, as both team scored back and forth, but the Eagles pulled away greatly in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, when Carolina turned the ball over multiple times. They outscored the Panthers 40-0 in the 2nd and 3rd. Alldayy had this to say "It was an extremly ugly game for us, sometimes nothing goes your way and it was just one of those games. We know it's not that were not as good, because we've beaten them before, they just whooped our butts in this one. The playoffs are a totally different game and the Eagles have been there many times and won Superbowls, and it's our first. Gonna have a good off-season and come out strong next year! Alldayy and the Panthers concluded with a overall record of 13-5.. The Panthers began to prepare for 2014

Re: The Panther Page

Lots of improvement in Carolina from offeseason workouts
One look at the Panthers roster, and it just looks absolutey scary. Below are some of top the offseason improvements.

QB - Cam Newton, 2013 - 88 ovr , 2014 - 92 ovr, 99 SAC 94 MAC, Cam worked on decreasing INTs, look for some HUGE numbers in 2014
HB - Antavio Bolton, 2013 - 82 ovr , 2014 92 ovr, 92 spd 99 acc & agi
Bolton improved most by far, after a monster rookie season at only 82 ovr, look for him to be one of the best in the SFL in 2014 and years to come
CB - Brandon Hogan, 2013 - 80 ovr, 2014 - 85 ovr, 99 mcv 94 zcv
Look out for Hogan and Gamble to be one of the top corner tandums in the league in 2014
FS - Dontavis Norris, 2013 - 76 ovr, 2014 - 82 ovr, 83 mcv 86 zcv
Norris had an impressive rookie season in 2013, will be a key nickle coverage guy for the Panthers

Re: The Panther Page

Big 3rd Quarter leads to another comeback win vs the Falcons; 48-34
The Panthers started off the rediculessly tough 2014 schedule with a big win in the opener against the divionsal foes from Atlanta. This game was a tale of two halfs, as Carolina turned the ball over 3 times in the first half and faced a 27-10 deficit at the half. But Carolina's offense came to life and the 3rd as they scored 4 touchdowns, and the defense held Atlanta off the board. The 28-0 third quarter put the Panthers on top 38-27 heading into the 4th, where the run game controlled most of the 4th and finished the Falcons with a score of 48-34. Bolton was the player of the game, rushing for 236 yards and 2 scores. His biggest run was a 60+ yard scamper with 15 seconds left before the half to put the Panthers in field goal range. Cam had a nice opening game in the opener, going 18-27 with 330 yards and 4 TD's. Austin and Gettis both caught for over 100 yards. Defensivley; the monster DE's, Gilbert and Johnson, both recorded a sack and Johnson a FF. Gamble intercepted 2 balls, and Norris and Anderson each got one. The Panthers have to deal with the Vikings next, AD and one of the top teams in the SFL fly into Carolina for their first meeting.

Re: The Panther Page

Miracle in Carolina propels Panthers to wild Overtime win vs Vikings, 27-24
Carolina knocked down another top team this week in dramatic fashion, this had to be the wildest game in my history of playing madden. Carolina, for the second week in a row, started slow and faced a 17-0 deficit. They got it to within 17-10 at the half. They tied it up at 17 with only 2:23 to go in the 4th. It looked like all hope was lost when Rudolph took a simple pass in the flats 55 yards to the house after a couple missed tackles. It was 4th and 10 with 20 seconds left, when the football God's sprinkle their fairy dust on Cam Newton and Miles Austin, as they connected on a improbable 76 yard catch and run, with Austin getting run out at the 4 yard line. Olsen recieved the next pass for a TD to tie the game at 24. In OT, the Panthers stalled, and had to punt, after Cam was sacked miliseconds before throwing the ball to a wide open Sims-Walker who was all alone in the Endzone. It ended when Josepeh Senn, the 3rd string line backer, cut off a Ponder pass, which put Carolina in FG range. The always good Mare then booted in the game winner from 34 yards.
Offense
Cam threw for 437 yards with three TD's, Austin caught for 191 yards, including a 60 and 74 yarder. Bolton was bottled up day, with only 49 yards on 16 carries, and 31 yards receiving
Defense
The Panthers have lost both outside linebackers in consecutive weeks, but backups McGrath and Senn stepped up in this one. Mcgrath had a team high 8 tackles, and Senn caught the game winning INT. Johnson had 2 sacks, and Hogan and Godfrey each had clutch INT's in the 4th
