Re: User Switching Poll

After changing it up and playing nearly an entire a game without switching, I change my vote to no switching.

Just for clarification, this rule would be while the ball is in the air. You can switch pre snap of course and then after a catch is made or after the handoff just not while the ball is in the air.

The reason I changed my opinion so quickly from days ago is because I tried it and its really more sim not switching.

Re: User Switching Poll

its a double edge sword. points could be made for both ways. but madden`s A.I is the wildcard here. i`ve seen cpu players LOOKING at the ball and not make a play on it, and i`ve seen the cpu ballhawk/super jump everything thrown its way. if u wanted to have a rule to cut down on the high int levels i`d say u must use swat and not int on the ball hawk. its more realistic with swatted passes and not alot of ints. but in the end i would say switching allowed.

I've pretty much given up on debating the topic, most longtime Madden players are gonna have an excuse why it won't work, and I've just grown tired explaining it. I guess we should allow zigzagging too since The Highlight moves don't work properly everytime either....

Re: User Switching Poll

I actually would like to change my vote to NO SWITCH (I already voted for switching) the sake of stats and the env't the league is creating. My vote change would make it 15-13 in favor of no switch.

One more no switch vote, and it's settled, right?

I played no switching my last game (except two plays) and it makes awareness matter which should always be important for any player. I vote no switching.

Re: User Switching Poll

I'll just say this, because the Passing Mechanic can be broken if mastered... all of those stats will be compromised. Inflation in every sense of passing, if you know what you're doing. It'd be very easy to get 500-600 yards passing on less than 15-16 completions. Scores will inflate also, if you are offensive minded. Almost like giving an arsonist a flamethrower. I have no real issue with no switching or switching. But you must evaluate both sides of this equation. It's a damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't type of thing.
