Rumor Report

Channel 4 News- Jacksonville, FL

Mere days after reported talks between Chicago and Jacksonville broke down that would have sent Jay Cutler to Jacksonville, a report has surfaced with terms between Jacksonville and Detroit.

According to unconfirmed reports, the Jaguars would part with the explosive Maurice Jones-Drew in an attempt to stock up on draft picks.

Jaguars Roster Moves

Good evening Jaguars fans,
The Jaguars announced 3 roster moves today.

1st) the Jaguars traded Maurice Jones-Drew to the Detroit Lions in exchange for the Lions 1st, 2nd, and 4th round draft picks.

2nd) After another game with multiple drops, TE Clay Harbor has been let go. The Jaguars picked up TE Matt Spaeth to fill the slot as they still await the return of TE Mercedes Lewis.

3) Jaguars sign WR Aldrick Robinson

Jaguars Lose to Chargers, 21-24

Jacksonville Roar - Jacksonville, FL

The Jaguars lost their 4th straight this week, dropping one to AFC opponent San Diego Chargers.

The Jaguars came out in the 1st half dominating the Chargers to the tune of 23-3. Everything was going their way. They came in the 3rd quarter and Philip Rivers threw a pick to Paul Puzlusny. Paul was running the ball back when...PAUSE...the lights died.



The game would be restarted and the Jaguars fell apart.

They scored first, getting a 3-0 lead at the end of the 1st. The Chargers would put 10 up in the 2nd making the game 10-3 at half.

The Chargers came out with their batteries re-charged...yeah that just happened.
They would score on their first possession making the game 17-3.

The Jaguars made a comeback late, scoring 11 points.

But the Chargers would not be zapped of energy as they scored another TD, again making it a 2 score game.

The Jaguars added on a TD late in garbage time to make the score look good.

Quarterback Philip Rivers ended with 5 INT! But the Jaguars were unable to capitalize.

Jaguars Can't Contain Frank Gore, Fall to 49ers by 2


Frank Gore and the 49ers came away from Jacksonville feeling good and with a little bit of sun and drink when they picked up the win and had the after party at Lemon Bar in Jax Beach.

Frank Gore was able to pick up 161 yards while Colin Cupadick went 10/14 161 yards and 1 TD.



Jordan Todman was the leading rusher for the Jaguars, racking up 92 yards on 5 carries and a score.



The Jaguars had a chance late, down 8 with 1 minute left in the 4th. Quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson found Cecil Shorts in the endzone to cut the lead to 2 points. However, WR Justin Blackmon would drop the 2 point conversion, ensuring the 49ers would walk away with the win.

Jaguars Pick Up Second Win...in practice

The Jacksonville Jaguars made headlines today when their starters were able to beat out the practice squad. "Obviously this is a big step for our organization going forward. We're hoping for a little momentum going into the bye week from this win and who knows, maybe win next week...practice of course", Coach JGreg told reporters.
