The Lions secondary has been a big surprise this season, giving them a huge turnover margin. Likewise Eagles rookie QB Matt Barkley has been a huge surprise and looks headed to the NFC Offensive rookie of the year award. If the Lions secondary can continue to catch those int's this should be another win.

Game Outlook

The Eagles playoff hopes are on the line, they have a slim lead in the NFC East. The Lions have already clinched the weak NFC North and now are just playing for a bye week. With no pressure on QB Matt Stafford, the Lions should pick apart the Eagles last place defense.

Game Results

This game wasn't the shootout we expected, instead it was a tight defensive battle. The Lions secondary limited QB Matt Barkley to only 215 yards 1 td and 3 ints. QB Matt Stafford also had a so-so game with 179 yards 2 tds 2 ints but running MJD carried the load. 22 carries 155 yards in his first big game as a Lion. The Eagles are now only a half a game ahead of the Cowboys and Giants in their quest to win the NFC East. The Lions are in a good position for a NFC bye week.
