Bump 3.2ip, 1h, 0r, 0er, 1bb, 1K (58 pitches)
Howard 2.0ip, 1h, 0r, 0er, 1bb, 2K (27 pitches)

It was really weird, Beckett was all over the place. Now one of the announcers (Krukow or Kuiper, I get them confused) did say something like, "He doesn't have his best stuff today". And the umpire definitely squeezed him some. But 17 walks? He wasn't pulled until I managed my first hit in the 4th inning.

After Beckett left, the game settled down, as you can tell by the stats. I only drew a couple more walks. I think all those walks early threw me off my game a little though, which is why I only ended up with 3 hits. At least, thats my excuse.

Pitching was fun, though. I really had to work to get guys out. The one walk I allowed was a situation where I pitched around Lowell. Runners on 2nd & 3rd, 1 out. I fell behind, but nibbled my way to a full-count. I didn't want to make a mistake, though, so I tried to get him to chase a ball. He didn't bite. Very cool, and realistic. I had several deep counts, but also a few quick AB's, which explains why my pitch count was relatively low.

Aside from Beckett's apparently flukey wildness, the game was quite fun.
