I am pretty decent at swatting away the deep ball and mixing up my blitzes but dunno what that does.

I do get burned occaisonally, and am ok with that. In fact what's funny is that I was starting to worry that the CPU wasn't passing deep ENOUGH, if you can believe that.

I haven't changed coaching tendencies yet, most of them seem to be set pretty good. I get a ton of carries against me so it's not even an issue. But it's nice to know the option is there.

I'll report back when I get more info.
Jistic I was saying the same thing, I think I defend the deep ball better then others so it's not an issue for me what so ever, And if I do get beat It's my my fault or the fact that the reciver was a lot better tne my DB. Like you said I haven't seen the CPU go crazy in the air against that much at all, maybe it's because I prettty good at playing D.

Yeah, forgot about that one. I do that too, just forgot to include it here.

Wow the '49 Rose Bowl team! Sweet. A 17-14 win over the Cal Bears. That's awesome man. Who did he block for? I think that was before Hopalong Cassidy.
Wow, I'm not even sure who the back was. Hopalong was there in 1955 for the National Championship, so '49 was before his time. It was before Woody's too, because I heard the joke 100 times that, "There was OSU football BEFORE Woody Hayes?"

Just had a good game with version 2. I lost to USC as Notre Dame 31-21. The game wasn't very close, 21-0 at half and I scored two garbage time TDs against the backups in the 4th. The drops were the biggest problem, my two late TDs came once my players started catching the ball. All around good, I expect to lose to USC with ND, and they handled me pretty easily with their starters. I will give them a couple more games.

          Ok, my report:

I am NC State in my Dynasty, going up against Virginia Tech. Here are the results:

As you can see, Tech did NOTHING. Couldnt run, cant pass. The game was played in a rain storm, which may have affected them. I was decent, should have had more rushing yards. Game was played with Jistic's sliders, V2.0. Any thoughts?

Re: Jistic's NCAA 2006 AA Sliders

I didn't write down my results but I just had a similar game in the first game of my FSU dynasty. I beat Miami 7-6. Miami had negative rushing yds. We each had 5 sacks. L. Washington had around 120-130 yds on 22 attempts. It was A DEFENSIVE battel and I had a friggin blast. Am I concerned about the sliders after one game....NO! I am not the best player at this game, in fact I feel I am average at best. Of course this game was played at the Doak and it was ROCKING! Oh and I missed a FG with 1:30 to go to put me up 4. I hate to say it, but yes, it was wide right LOL!!!

So I will play some more games hopefully today and tonight to get a good feel. This was about my first full game too as I have been VERY busy with work.

they don't have many. I'll post my results of my next few games. I did change the sliders a little, so that I have a better chance to win now. I'll update you later on tonight. QB's PA has a whole lot to do with the drops. I have found that pressing Y without switching manually to the receiver helps to catch the ball enormously. try it and see what you think.

Re: Jistic's NCAA 2006 AA Sliders

I'm lucky to see 2-3 drops in a game and I use both QB and WR slider at 25%.

That also helps lower the percentage of deep balls I complete. In fact I know catch more short passes than deep balls as a result of this.

So, it's really weird to me because I think that the WR's were all over done this year and have much talent over the DB's. Same thing with QB's they are too accurate as is when set to 50%.....I can't imagine going up to 60 or 70% I would never misfire on a pass.

OK just finished my first season with your sliders. i'll give you some stats.

i use ND, finished up 8-3 ranked #9 in the nation

                      Brady Quinn: 164-308 2615 yds 21tds 17 ints sacked 22times

Darius Walker- 249 car 1815 yds 7.2 avg 16 tds

Rhema Mcknight- 59 rec 1088 yds 18.4 avg 8 tds
Maurice Stovall- 39 rec 734 yds 18.8 avg 8 tds
Matt Shelton- 35 rec 484 yds 13.8 avg 1 td

Mark levoir 61 pancakes 6 sacks (Best OL award)
Ryan Harris 53 pancakes 2 sacks

Defense nothing impressive, only 3 ints all year and 6 fumble forced, but overall had a good season, dominated at home, luckily that is where i played USC and Tennessee, i lost to Michigan, Pitt and Purdue (all away games). i think i need to tone down the rushing a bit and up the int but i think you did a great job.

ok now off to play in the fiesta bowl agains USC

I have CPU catching at 99 and I will see anywhere from 4 to 10 drops for the CPU per game. Some are wide open and others are tougher catches in traffic that the game registers as a drop.

Not bad, quite realistic, made no adjustments to his V2.0 sliders. Honestly, they got lucky on two screw ups, and scored, so they should have only had 7 pts. Their pass defense seemed better than VT's though, which I thought was bizarre. The CPU still seems to jump routes way to fast and has a definite advantage when the ball is in the air.

Do you have to play 9 min quarters to get the most realistic stats....i.e. number of plays, etc??

The problem I have the most with these sliders are drops and the D-Line coming in on me before my WR's can run their routes. As for the running game, there is no such thing as a small open hole for me to at least gain 3 yards. Once the hole is opened up, it collapses on me. Not having fun here, can anything be done or do I have to use the best team to enjoy these sliders?

Ignore him. People like that arent worth responding to. The problem is there are way too many people here that get their rocks off belittling others and you just have to look past them.

The drops arent completely fixed, so I see where you are coming from, and like you, I have played the game for years (actually every year since Bill Walsh for me). I just had a game against Eastern Kentucky where my NC State WR's had 6 drops, many where they were well timed passes and they just didnt make the catch, so I certainly believe there is still a slight problem with drops, though its MUCH better than last year.

Keep your head up, keep practicing, and dont let people get under your skin, the game will come to us.
