1) Slightly better graphics (Good)

2) I have not finished a season yet, I don't know if the Free Agency of Madden 2006 is like ESPN 2K5 where the players will play for the team that can offer him the most money. I signed Ty Law, and he did not think twice of signing to my team. He did not even entertain what the other teams can offer. Unlike in ESPN where you will have to wait to the players decision.

3) They took out that salary system of Madden 2004 which is way a lot better than 2006. You know where you have the choice to either give the player a front load contract or a balance contract when it comes to paying the player. (bad)

4) the Superstar mode is good, but with some annoyance depending on the player. I don't like training camp personally.

5)The cone system is fine but it is up to the player. The problem is that you can't turn off the cone system for good. You have to turn it off manually everygame.
