He's gotten more days off in the last month than anyone else (besides maybe Varitek, but he's a catcher), and why is he tired? Jogging down the first base line take a lot out of him? Manny's a great hitter, and I don't doubt his desire to win, but he's not exactly a model citizen and his act is what becomes tiring and old.
All of a sudden Red Sox first basemen are lighting it up. Two homers last night for Millar, two homers tonight for Olerud. I'd like to see some of the starters get straightened out though and at least limit the opposition to three runs or fewer. The Sox can't expect to keep slugging their way to victory every night. Papelbon just struck out the side in the 8th, hopefully Timlin can nail down the save.
