Just looking for some advice here. Is 06 worth getting?

I really want to get it, however I'm still enjoying 05. My biggest worries are:

Sim stats, progression and a possible freezing issue. Sim stats seems to be the worst problem.

Are these problems really serious or am I reading too many bad threads that are exxageration?

I'd really like to have some options 06 offers though. Like being able to control all 32 teams but not having to control the owner stuff. I read you can leave all that up to the CPU. It seems most people really like the running game in 06. There's a few other things I forgot about. In any event, is Madden 06 on the PS2 worth getting?
