Are you serious? Beau Jones was a no. 1 draft pick a couple years ago.
I like the deal of having Tex now but adding that 5th guy on the trade & it being a Beau Jones is asking a lot in return. He is still young but wasn't a no. 1 pick for nothing. I too would rather have Dotel as our closer over Wickman. Also, Arroyo would be a nice fit also. Man, JS is pulling out all stops this year when in the past he's made some really bum decisions.
I don't like the report of trading Escobar though. Renty is locked up through next year but after that then we're gonna need a solid everyday SS & Escobar is that guy. We have already given up Andrus for the future & also reports of the possibility of Lillibridge being traded so to trade Escobar would leave us with some big holes to fill at SS. It's close to that deadline so let's see what JS gets done. This is actually exciting this year for our Braves near the trade deadline unlike more recent years. Thanks!
