    XBOX 360 HD Player $50

I dunno if this was posted somewhere else, but since Microsoft has discontinued making the player, the remaining stock is plummeting in price.

I know I've been all "jump off the ship", but for that price, I'd buy it again.

You're right about them being perfectly fine... my only problem is that you would always need to keep some sort of HD player in the house to be able to watch those movies in the future... And what happens when the 360 becomes obsolete? Are you going to keep the 360 and the attached HD player around just to watch movies on a format that doesn't even exist? Seems like a waste of money to me, no matter HOW cheap...

I'll keep mine but if I didn't have one, I wouldn't buy it even for that price.

wat does the hddvd player have to do with the 360. it uses a usb attachment. u can hook it up to anything that uses usb. Why would people want for these hddvd titles to be converted to bluray and pay $30 bux for them when u can buy em now for cheap $5-7. Hmm a portable hddvd player and 5 or 6 movies = 4 bluray movies for the same price

Vic: No Kenny, that's girl versus girl.
            Kenny: What's the difference?
Vic: Well, in one, one girl wins. In the other....
            Kenny: Everyone wins?!?!

Because who wants to keep an obsolete piece of machinery around to play an obsolete bunch of discs? I mean, just because it's cheap doesn't mean it's smart.

Like I said before, this is a heck of a price, but if you're going to invest in something, why not save up and at least invest in the format that will be around for a while.

I guess my whole point is this: if you ALREADY had a bunch of HD-DVDs that you bought then yah, if you wanted an extra player, 50 bucks is a great deal. But if you didn't already have any HD-DVDs, why the heck would you pick now to invest? 50 dollars, or 2 dollars, it would be a waste of money at this point.

I think the best thing to do for anyone, would be, next time, wait until you find out which format will last

the player is $50..big deal. The movies are cheap as hell as stores dump them. It's well known that HD-DVD is dead, but it doesn't meant you can't still enjoy them now. This is when bluray players are still expensive, and the movies cost $30. This will be appealing to many people.

It's not like you're dropping thousands of dollars on an investment, like a fridge. This is scraping the bargain bin for something that just died from competition.

That doesnt make any sense if i already had hddvd movies i would probably already have a hddvd player to play them. Why would people want to buy the Matrix Trilogy on bluray probably for $90 when u can buy the the hddvd version for $30 right now and not have to wait 6-8 months for the bluray version to be released.

$50 is good deal for anyone that likes a portable device thats upscales dvds and plays hd format.

So what you're saying is I can hook up those players to a PS3 thru the USB and watch HDDVD's.

I'm getting rid of my 360 but it's still a heck of a deal to use as a computer drive. Heck, if you get it before Thursday you also get 6 free movies (King Kong and 5 mail ins).

You can barely get 2 blu rays for $50.

There are almost 500 HD-DVDs released to date and most can be found for $10 or less. That library is plenty big enough to get your hi-def fix while waiting for the PS3 to drop in price or the BDA to get their 2.0 profile stand alones released.

Nope. It may work if you install xp or vista on ur ps3 but other than that it wont work.
