Re: Major League Baseball 2K8 (360/PS3) Impressions
cleared my cache and turned off the ball trail. It helped. There is still some issues but it is not as bad as before. Game plays really well. Again the frame rate is my only issue with the game so far. Love the throwing meters. I use the old pitching method and I am happy with that. My honest opinion is to not let the frame rate keep you from the game. It will bother some people but the game is pretty solid. Much better out of the box than last year. One thing I see that will need to be tweaked is the amount of balls being thrown by cpu and human. But I expected that so....My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: Major League Baseball 2K8 (360/PS3) Impressions
Are you kidding me. NHL 08 Is the best Hockey game to ever grace the next gen consoles. Hands down. The best!Great to hear some positive feedback from you and bowlerguy92.
I'm still going to wait and rent it. I thought NHL08 was the great sports game I had ever played. But after 3 weeks of playing that straight the mask started wearing off.
I'm still concerened about the framerate issues however.
It's ridiculous to me that the hardware of today's consoles blows away anything I owned 15 years ago, and yet none of these things were an issue then.
Framerate should be the last problem of any console game. PC maybe, but console? Never.Comment

Re: Major League Baseball 2K8 (360/PS3) Impressions
Can someone get into a little detail on the hitting system? What happens when you try to pull an outside pitch or go the other way with an inside pitch? Do you feel like you have any influence on whether or not you hit the ball on the ground or in the air? Are you able to lift low pitches and hit high pitches on the ground at times or will contact on a low pitch always result in hitting the ball on the ground?
Can you tell that you now have more "room" for contact being that they expanded the # of frames available for contact?
I know you're seeing more hit variety, can you go into a little detail? Choppers, line drives, any balls hit ove OF's heads? Any hits down the lines?
How are the check swings?
How is bunting (sacraficing and bunting for hits)?
Thanks!Last edited by Trevytrev11; 03-04-2008, 01:49 PM.Comment

I figured that it would be better after that as well. Well if you are saying do not let that issue dissuade us from buying, i'll take your word for it...cleared my cache and turned off the ball trail. It helped.
