you've got to unlock the cooperstown teams by getting the team card itself. then you'll be able to unlock the individual players.

I'm quite addicted to it myself though I've been trying to build my card team and save up money for a pack.

I'm one RF short of a lineup and and five pitchers short of a full team.

Yeah I've got about 8 middle infielders, and no outfielders. I also finally got my first platinum card. Regretably, it's Chris Ianetta.

well I am loving it myself I have had 4 wild cards one was chone figgins, another one was a full pack with vlad guerrero and 2 that havent been redeemed yet. I have 21 cards at the present my most satisfying was probably unlocking carl crawford with 2 hits, 2 steals and 2 runs in the same game.

I got my first Platinum card last night. It was Jack Cust after hitting a HR with him. I've gotten a couple of wild cards from turning a double play and hitting a home run, but I'm still waiting for a wild card that turns into a pack of cards!!! At least one my wild cards was Vlad Guerrero!! I can't wait to field a whole team that I can take online.

Sorry this just isn't true. The historic players are going to be made available in future downloadable content. So far only Series #2 which is the traded players is available.

How do I know if my sliders are affecting my ability to earn cards? Anyone know?

Custom sliders are analyzed and given a R, P, A, or L rating for Rookie, Pro, All-Star, and Legend (respectively). This is used for card challenges and achievements.

I've heard reports that wild cards aren't awarded in custom difficulties, but I haven't verified this myself. But, even if this is the case normal cards and challenges are awarded.
