Yes, that is absurd. I understand the necessity for the events of a game to be scaled to a certain smaller time period than real football, but 100 point games on five minute quarters i just ridiculous. I personally liked the accelerated clock that the Madden series used to have as I was able to play with longer quarter lengths and ended up wit more realistic results and a more appropriate number of plays per game.

I randomly checked out the scores from a mid-season week this past season and took some of the random scores and the average line worked out to be 34-17.5 and I bet that is pretty consistent week in and week out in college football. I am interested to see how the scores in EA's game will average out by comparison.

I bet the fouled up pursuit angles are to create more big plays....Yeah EA, broken pursuit angles definitely makes that "Open Field" experience seem spot on. Can't wait to see the AI chasing my ball carrier around like a swarm of bees in High Definition as I run to the endzone turn around and run right back to the other endzone.

What's wrong with these people. Things that were correct before appear to be broken beyond repair now. They need to scrap this engine, things won't get any better until they do.
Seems like after next gen and last gen got it on they realized they were related.

Hell yeah. For a game you've never played to be able to pop it in and put up 100 combined on 5min qtrs is bad. I know your functional knowledge will carry over from year to year being as though they don't recreate the wheel but still.

Yeah and it led to an extra Interception Pick 6 chromosone, and a compulsive wrong pursuit angle disorder.

EA should have just made Corky their cover athlete for NCAA 2009.

How depressing. Man, I was really looking forward to playing a new NCAA game. I am getting tired of playing NCAA 06 on my PS2, and from the sounds of it, I'll be playing it again. From what you all are saying... I cannot believe they did not fix the pick 6 issue in this game. That is a GAME KILLER for me. And to top it off, now the bad pursuit angles have made the jump to the PS3/360 versions.

Well, we all know that if he can't figure a game out in minutes... it is all over.

I should have known that EA's idea of "wide open gameplay" is ZERO defense and an obnoxiously overdone big play aspect.

Oh how I long for someone to make a TRUE football sim, without having to worry if 8 year old Timmy can put up offensive numbers that would make Steve Spurrier envious.
We go through this every year. People read first impressions on any sports games and people jump the gun and scream the sky is falling. Correct me if im wrong but PP and CDJ were playing on all american and didnt tweak sliders.

Also, the game is supposed to be easy, high scoring and fun on default settings. Why? Because most people arent as sim crazy and nitpicky as us. They want to be able to drop back, throw the ball deep and score with ease. Sliders are supposed to help you make the game more difficult and realistic. NBA 2k8 is one of my favorite games but its a dunkfest w/o slider tweaks. Once you change the sliders its more realistic.

Now I'm not saying that sliders will automatically fix these percieved issues but can we at least wait to play the game before we start the bashing.People on this site are too quick to bash or praise this game its ridiculous.
