    Madden 09: Phil Frazier Q&A: EA Forums

    It looks like Phil Frazier, Producer of Madden 09, is taking some questions over at the EA Forums.

    "Thanks to my friends in marketing and PR, it looks like you all have had some new info to chew on for almost a week now. I was incredibly busy up in NY for the Favre announcement and have been catching up here at work ever since.

    I just started catching up on reading the boards and will get around to some more questions by Thursday evening.

    In the meantime, please use this thread to start asking questions about some of our more new content. I'd love to do my best to answer questions specifically about:

    Broadcast Presentation
    Graphics
    Online Leagues
    Etc...

    I'm not saying that I won't get around to the questions in the introduction thread but I want to talk about the new stuff in the product as well.

    Some new info...

    - I'm 95% confident we'll get weather into online games via unranked matches.
    - We just added camera flashes in the crowd.
    - We're not 100% happy with the gameplay video that was released along with the IGN piece yesterday. New videos incoming..."

              WOW. Good to hear they weren't happy with the IGN vid. Certainly no one else was. Good to see some community interaction. And with NCAA's producer admitting the INT glitch and letting us know its gone, to me thats a big step for EA. Startin to come together pepper, startin to come together.

                  Look what producer interaction has done for the Show series.
                  I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

                  I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

                      Remember they said that in 06 about the McNabb CGI. They said the actual game was better when in fact it couldn't hold the released CGI's jock strap.

                                          phil, thanks for answering our question 1st and foremost.

                                          1.will you guys ever bring back accelerated clock, or a feature like it???

                                          2.does you animation blend in better this year?

                                          3.Last year there was alot pin ball effect when it came to gang tackling, will that be better? also after a player is tackled when they hit another player, the another player goes flying. is there more animation to improved that? (maybe a fall on top of the tackled player animation or a brace yourself to the ground animation.

                                          4. presentation, i think i heard somewhere that there is tons of stats overlays this year. is that true?? if so what brand are the overlays in?

                                          5.presentation, are there pre-halftime-post game show this year? if so how in depth is it???

                                          6.Any chance in the feature you guys put more gears in, such as hand towels, hand warmers, un-tucked sleeves kinda like nfl fever?

                                          thats it for now. i would like to say that the game looks pretty good this year, but i was disappointed by the ign video as it looked like madden 08 with better graphics. I did noticed that Favre was holding the ball near his stomach, and the drop back is different. good job on that.
