Jersey Corrections/Omissions/Additions for '09

Hey,

Please post any corrections or omissions of team apparel that you would like to see fixed for '09. Pictures and a thorough description would help.

While the development team must typically use the MLB style guide as a guideline for the jerseys in the game, it would still be helpful to provide them with the information to hopefully get in the game for '09. I understand that there are three versions of MLB for sale (PS3, PS2 and PSP) but unless you specify, it will be implied that you are referring to the PS3 version.

I'll start off:

The NY Mets are missing their solid white jerseys in the game:



As you can see, it's a solid white jersey with the Mets' royal blue used in a singular lining around certain spots of the jersey. It's very similar to the "New York" away jersey we have:


If you pretty much took the grey jersey, changed the front logo to "Mets" and made the grey a white color you would be set.

Also, please note with the all white jersey they typically wear the Black Mets hat with the navy blue front bill:

The Brewers need their blue home jerseys (at least in PS2):

Also, their away jerseys should really be defaulted to their blue ones. They rarely wear the gray ones anymore.

ok here are the mistkes on the A's

Problem: Home alternate balck current in game are the ones from the 2001 season with "athletics" written in green.(the same proble is present in the cap)
Solution:
HOME ALTERNATE BLACK:

Home aleternate black CAPS:



Problem:Away Green alternate uniform is wrongly using the home cap/helmet.
Solution: Give the away green alternate the away cap/helmet.

Other mistakes i notice:
ASTROS
Houston astros alternate AWAY red jersey has the wrong color. in the game they use light RED, which is actually the color of the HOME red Alternate, the AWAY alternate should look like this:

BRAVES
New away alternate is not in the game:


They dont use the red alternate away any more.

they need to darken some of the blues in team's uniforms
AKA Cubs Home and Road Jerseys and Caps

and the Brewers 1982 throwbacks...this is what they are supposed to look like. In the game they are sky blue, instead of dark blue. Also the Brewers wear their dark blue jerseys both at home and on the road.


also.....the dang long sleeves glitch is killing me!!!!
They wear them every night game!!!!
also we should be able to pick our jerseys on franchise.

Pared u forgot to metion about the mets socks color...they are blue where there supposed to be black.

They dont use the red alternate at home any more.

Just thought I'd correct you here brunnoce. What you said was VERY incorrect about the Braves. The Braves definitely still use the red home alternates. (every Sunday home game if I remember correctly.) Examples below:

The new blue uniforms are alternate ROAD uniforms that they will wear based on if the starting pitcher wants to wear them or not. They have not worn these uniforms at home. Example below:

I just had a thought.

Since it is not exactly possible yet to have individual jerseys during the All-Star Game, I was wondering if it was possible to just have throwback ASG uniforms like 1997, 98, etc.

Player jackets/longsleeves should be included for those on the bench as well as manager jackets

The Indians for the last 2 seasons have worn their blue jerseys at home as well. I like that look better than the road ones as they wear them with their white pants and this year they wear the Chief Wahoo hat rather than the stupid script I hat.

I don't know if the retro jerseys are in the MLB jersey list thing, but:

Silver era home: The light blue jerseys that are currently the "silver era away jerseys". However, there are a couple changes.

1) No names on the back
2) There should be a belt instead of a waistband
3) It says "Blue Jays" instead of "Toronto" on the front

I don't know if its programmable, but the Jays only wear them on Friday nights at home.

Silver era away: Uh...probably the same as the home ones.





I can't find a pic of the back of the jersey, but its like the current one you guys have for "silver era away" but with no name.

If anything, they should just program it so we can choose which jerseys we want for every mode. That way, we can choose the type of special jersey games we want.

Related to this: The Blue Jays wear their black alternates 85% of the time at home, rather than their home whites.

Oh this would be soooo nice. I played a 4 game set with the Padres at home, and we wore the camoflauge for all four games.

I hate the jersey's with a passion, to the point that I restart the game if we're wearing them now. I will allow it once in a while, but 4 straight?? ugh....

I just think that they should correct the way or at least maybe add the ability to have the clothes a bit baggier. A Lot of guys wear loose

For the Yankees, the equipment needs to have white lettering for the numbers for both home/away. In '08, the home numbering on armbands/etc. is blue, so you can't even see the numbers. Away, I think it is grey, so you can see it, but its still fugly and incorrect. It needs to be bright white number/lettering on equipment for both home and away.

Heh...they're actually supposed to wear the blacks on the weekend and the whited during the week. Its just that they haven't lost at home during the weekend all year so they always wear the blacks until they lose at home after that.
