Re: NBA 2K9 Cover Athlete Press Release
the one i bolded in ur pics, is spot on i reckon. If the picture is of the cover athlete, I really think it's KG because of that bent arm dunking style that KG usually dunks with, though he usually dunks right handed though, but it could be a mirror image also. But that bent off arm dunk is how KG dunks it almost every time unless he's using 2 hands

Re: NBA 2K9 Cover Athlete Press Release
Well the Finals is near anyways...
I think they'd release pics now (teasers as you will) sometime in June too.
And oh... Eathb, the one you bolded in Dakkon's pics is not stop on because it is right handed.Last edited by ZephyrSong; 05-25-2008, 03:14 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K9 Cover Athlete Press Release
I voted for Brandon Roy, because as someone else mentioned he is not that well known by casual fans and plays on one of the most interesting, young teams in the NBA. With that said I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a Paul repeat
I seriously doubt that the silhouette on the front page is the player in question - but if that is the case, I'd say it's Iguoadala based on that pictureJust my tuppence worth...Comment

Re: NBA 2K9 Cover Athlete Press Release
For me it screams out Iguodala, and I'd put money on that too. AFAIK, the Sixer's jersey is pretty much the only one with that wide shoulder as shown on the dunker's right shoulder in the pic, at least to me. And if you search some dunk pics of AI, that's exactly how he goes up for a dunk.
Also with TakeTwo's budget that most likely rules out bigger names.
My second guess would be Brandon Roy.

Re: NBA 2K9 Cover Athlete Press Release
Wow, this is awesome! thank god 2k still considered releasing the game for the ps2, Im planning to make the jump to next gen later of this year but in the meantime, I still get to enjoy the ps2 version. hope they make a few of the glitches corrected.
As for the cover athlete hope its Lebron, highly doubt it though.Comment

Re: NBA 2K9 Cover Athlete Press Release
You do know that Chris Bosh isn't the only person to ever dunk with his left hand, right?
