How old are you? When's the last time you saw a team put its fastest player at QB and run their team?

If a "nerd" in this case is someone who tries to enjoy the game by trying to make it reflect real life as much as possible then there are a lot of nerds here and you a the one who is out of place.

It bothers us not because it can't be stopped (it most certainly can as you say) but because teams don't do that in real life and most of us like a simulation style game. I'm not saying sometimes teams in college don't put a fast WR type guy in at QB but it's a gimmick and not a game plan. When you get older you will understand these basic football things.

Damn, the first time I saw the thread I thought it was formation subs. Formation audibles are ok, but not nearly as useful Both are kind of an accepted standard now.

I like formation subs i like being able have a certain RB in the backfield for that set without having to quick sub. The years when my full back sucks i like to play the second HB in pro forms. I like to put the fast receiver in three or more receiver sets in a favorable spot or run that formation without taking the time to sub.

I can live without it but it would be nice to take my star offensive players off of special teams.

While I want formation subs as well, I wanted formation audibles more. I used them a lot on the PS2. With formation subs, I used them to get more time for backup LBs and DL for the most part in nickel and dime packages. I can give my backup RB time with the packages system and don't need the formation subs that much for that area.

Will these formation audibles work online? I mean can you set all our audibles and get them how we want them and then go online and they will all be there?

the fatigue set on would nullify that fast QB thingy. i had fast QB's i recruited and after several downs scrambling, he was always auto sub'ed. so putting your fastest player, I use qb spy with fast LB's (which is part of my recruiting stradegy (?) ) to counter that move.. its always a way to counter the cheeze!
"..I ain't a thug, how much tupac in you you got? I aint no beotch eva.. its eva my life or your life and i aint leavin.. i like breathin.. If you really wanna take it there we can, just remember that you messin wid a family man.. got a lot more to loose than you.. rememba dat.. "

They should. Note that F.A's (which are preset for each team) are in addition to the traditional 5 audibles we've always had, they don't replace them.

Arkansas. Darren McFadden. Worked out pretty well for them.

and besides, thats just how I play the game. That's how I enjoy and have fun with NCAA. I just simply stated what I like to do and you guys jumped all over me for it. Some people don't take the game as seriously as you do. And for all the age questions, I'm 17.

I can kind of simpathize with Antoine on this one. I also enjoy playing the game realistically and not cheesing it up, but I have a couple of friends who play the game this way. I just see it as a strategy for players who aren't as good. I don't mind it. My friends can actually keep up with me for once haha.

enjoy your short stay on these boards.

I like formation subs more than packages because I can rotate OL and position players without having to package them and they stay for the entire season. I really liked subbing in frosh for certain formations - slot WR or a TB who only played in one set and also for any option formations like the wishbone or wing.
