    Baseball Mogul 2009 Review

We have posted our review of Baseball Mogul 2009.
"The financial model has remained largely unchanged overall for Mogul over the years, which is by and large a good thing. The gamer sets prices for concessions and tickets, and decides how much to spend on the farm system, scouting, and medical staff. A nice newer feature to the series is the option for the AI to handle setting all of the above options. The interface provides the gamer with a payroll budget that's usually fairly accurate, based on current spending, and the gamer can then decide to spend as much as he wants on free agents and on sweetening the pot with cash in trade offers."

I'm having a pretty good time with the demo. I got the Royals to start 5-3, but then we went on a 5 game losing streak.

Hey Ben you said this game is for someone who is new to the sim baseball game. What game would you suggest for someone who is not new and looking for a different baseball sim game?

Spike, I'd say that all of the "Big Three" baseball sim games (Baseball Mogul, OOTP, PureSim) are solid options. OOTP9 will be out in a few days, and there's a new version of PureSim (renamed Draft Day Sports: Baseball) in the works as well. If you're only thinking of buying one, I'd suggest downloading all three demos and determining which one works best for you.

Thanks for the quick response. I was getting the game for my father so this will help a lot.

OOTP is THE better game for sim baseball

              HOWEVER

For getting your feet wet in this genre, Play mogul first, that is what I did for two years and I am now making my transition to OOTP
