im playing it now it is the same as LAST YEAR with better player models..the animations are jumpy and get stuck in a animation sometimes..just dont seem right, maybe its the varsity setting........................................... ..........................

ugh, I wish Sony was on the ball with this. I've played 6-8 season every year of both games since 03, but last year I upgraded to next-gen and could only stomach half a season of each. the media hype has me going again, but they pretty much convinced me I might as well wait until I get a PS3 to get NCAA/Madden, too, due to the recruiting and things like that. but that was a bold lie, they neglected to mention the gameplay was completely different, like PS1 football.

Played it for a half. The field, lighting and character models are all improved but the gameplay, atmosphere and presentation are still ... meh.

My impressions after one game:

Concerns:
*Too many injuries. There were 4 injuries in 6 minutes.
*I thought we had a small amount of new commentary added this year? Sounded like same old Corso to me.
*Commentary was wrong. ("That brings up 4th down" when it's really 2nd).
*Tweaked kicking meter feels gimmicky.
*Mascot celebrations feel forced.

Pros:
*Gameplay more fluid.
*Graphics, textures are better than 08.
*No play call screen lag. Hope that holds up online.

Also, how is complaining about downloading issues a demo impression? Or how much of the demo you've downloaded?

I know this stuff can be annoying but.....
Let's discuss the demo.

played two games and..

the bad:
~commentating error - said it was 4th down when it was only 3rd
~cpu pass efficiency - cpu had maybe 4 incompletes out of 40

the good:
~atmosphere - feels much more like a college game and i cannot wait to mess with stadium sounds
~game play - simply better overall than the last 2 years, definitely more wide open, actually fun
~visually - the game looks great, i was in awe when i looked into the back of the endzone and saw the cheerleaders along with a tunnel and great lighting behind it

these are just a few observations. i probably have more but am tired. i'm really excited about this game because i wasn't let down at all. i kind of wish the demo would have come out just a week before the actual release. these next 24 (?) days are going to suck.

the computer fumbled on it's very first two plays. it recovered the first one and then turned it over on the next play. those were the only two fumbles or int's. corner routes still work the same. only chris wells got injuried. i won in ot 20-17 as osu.
