I thought I read somewhere that the graphics have been toned down this year? Graphically, does this game look better or worse than '08?

I don't know where people said there is no defensive rush, i got sacked by LSU 4 times in my last game, they were all over me. Maybe it's that stupid Jump the SNap feature though like AuburnAlumni said.

this is definitely better than last year by a lot.

        the good
        1. the receivers finally realize where they are on the field. they don't start catch animations that will carry them out of bounds anymore. i cant tell you how many times the computer has forfeited huge plays on me in the past because of this.
        2. running with the ball felt good animations were much more fluid than last year.
        3. passing seemed good too i feel like playing on the higher difficulties will make it more of a challenge when the full game ships.

        the bad.

my on huge problem is that even on varsity it looks like the same problem as last year where the cpu qb will throw very few incomplete passes that are not interceptions. i felt powerless on third down to stop lsu. if i blitzed someone was wide open running across the middle, if i stayed back they had all day to throw and someone eventually ran free. this is my only real problem so far idk if this can be fixed by sliders or playing on a higher difficulty but if not i see myself eventually getting fed up with it this year.

overall very good except for the cpu qb never throwing a bad pass that just falls incomplete.

So I far I've enjoyed the demo. Its solid and has me even more pumped for the full game and online dynasties. I just hope its not so easy to pick defenses apart on the higher difficulties because I went 14/14 one game lol.

On the sounds from the band, I didn't hear them at all during the game. IDK, I might have gotten something screwed up on my download because of the clock glitch I'm getting. I'll download it again to see if it will work.

Otherwise it's a great game, I just didn't hear the band after big stops and turnovers.

better by a good margin. the players all look much better than last year. i couldn't tell the difference between a kicker and a lineman last year they all had the same body type. this year the players all seem to be modeled much better.

The only time the CPU ever got me was when they jumped the snap. I NEVER got any decent pressure with a 4 man rush..not with LSU and not with Ohio State and I always play as the DT too.

Like I said...the run game is a thing of beauty, both offensively and defensively. The passing game? Heavily skewed in favor of the O it seems..at least on the demo.

I could score at will just dropping back and throwing 5-15 yard routes all day long..against two VERY good defenses. Hopefully it's just a demo/varsity thing and sliders can correct some of the "wide open" gameplay.

Have time to move DL/LB/CB's only or do you have time to do an individual player hot route. Now I'm not talking about hot routing a whole d but rather quickly seeing a whole and wanting to hot route a LB to a zone as an example. I'm assuming there isn't enough time for this unless playing a human. If so it's no real biggie vs CPU I guess.

You'd be cutting it close Sky. But honestly, I don't see it being THAT big of an issue. The bigger issue is the lack of pass rush/overeffective short passing game IMO.

anyone else finding kick returns too easy? I had back to back to back KR's for TD's in two games. If you were good at returns before, it seems like you will be a god when this game comes out. I just did what I normally do which is pick a lane, then spin from a guy and sprinted down the sidelines. It was too easy.

Then when the cpu ran one back on me, it was because most of my guys got bunched into a crowd and couldn't get to him, due to animations.

The playbooks are AWESOME. Sooooo many formations/plays to choose from. You can get a really nice offensive package together for sure.

Cool. I don't know why I'm concerned about the hot routing like I am as I very rarely hot route on D. I think it just irks me that it's a "feature" that is useless vs CPU. Hopefully the pass rush ends up being better in the final game.
