Ok, I have both versions up and playing them side by side.

The 360 version is slightly better looking, you'd have to have both up and going to notice though. I mean, SLIGHTLY. The PS3 version looks just a little bit blurrier. Looking at it closer, it's the colors, they are just brighter and more vibrant on the 360.

The speed is the same. Both feel identical. The stuttering I mentioned before is with the OL as they walk up to the line. It doesn't affect play.

This is only after a few mins with the PS3 version, but playing them side by side gives you a pretty fair look at the 2.

It's a great game on both systems, and as I said, if you saw either one sans the buttons, you could never tell the difference IMO.

CPU clock management seems to be pretty stupid. OSU completed a short pass play on 3rd and long with 50 seconds left in a tie game, yet they call timeout for no logical reason, stopping the clock for me before they punted. In a different game LSU had the ball on their own 40, about 50 seconds left until halftime with all 3 timeouts left, and they ran out the clock. Another game went into OT and LSU wins the toss. They chose to go on offense first, no one goes on offense first.

Presentation/atmosphere: Where is it? A handful of cutaways to some cheerleaders and a dancing mascot seem to be it. Winning a game on the last play in OT feels no differently than taking a knee. The players jog to the sideline and the game ends, no handshakes, no running onto the field, not even a stat summary. I really hope this is just a demo limitation. I had a fumble reviewed by the booth and no mention was ever made if it was overturned or not. Obviously you can figure it out by the result of the play, but there was no referee cutscene or anything. I also haven't seen a single penalty yet.

The passing icons are freaking huge. Are there any options to shrink them? There also doesn't seem to be any yardline markers on the play select screen. If the CPU has the ball 1st and goal it would be nice to know what yard the ball is on. Maybe I'm missing this somewhere.

Is it possible to taunt when you are about to score a TD?

I dont understand the complaints of the lack of pressure on the CPU and the super human QBs. Its best to get pressure yourself by playing D line, and in doing so I have had zero problems. And the CPU isnt superhuman persay. Beckmen is simply a better QB than the LSU Qb and is doing nothing more than playing to his high overall rating. Is he good, yes, but super human? I dont think so. Playing as LSU I had no problem stopping beckmen.

Just played a sweet game VS nephew. I was OSU and of course he was LSU.
I scored to make it 7-0. He tied it and back and forth until we went to OT.

First possesion we both scored TD's

Second possesion we both scored TD's

              Third possesion:
My nephew has to settle for a FG. I call time out to ice him...
The play goes to ground level and the heart beat starts.
              Kick is up.........WIDE LEFT!

On my possesion I get to the 11 yard line and decide to kick FG to win it....
              Time Out LSU

Same thing: The play goes to ground level and the heart beat starts

I can tell you it makes the tense moment 100 times more tense.
Kick up.... Starts left then slowly curves right...

              GOOD! OSU WINS!!

Presentation will be the same in the complete version. I can't understand why they don't have a team doing the presentation aspect. It seems pretty odd at the beginning to just to show cutaway(s) in a stadium and nothing at the end.

I almost dread playing another game. Every time I see the CPU throw a pick, I get less and less interested in buying the game.
I've never read one positive thread from you about an EA football game. Have you ever considered that you simply don't like the series? Try out APF2K8 perhaps?

I guess some are just better players than others. Boeckman looked like a HoF'er out there sometimes.

Just finished, threw a TD with Pryor with 17 seconds left to win 7-3.

I was a little rusty (haven't played a football game in months), but once I got the rust off, the game felt much, much smoother than last years. Less mechanical.

For an 8 minute demo game, I came away feeling very good. LOTS of potential for this year. I can't wait for the final version now.

Played two games - same results really. I'm not sure what you guys are doing to get the CPU to score points, but I'd love to know, so I could do it. They pretty much just dink and dunk, then punt every drive. I go from being excited about the game, from reading posts in this thread, to ''meh'' whenever I play the demo.

This might not be the full game, but I can tell you right now - There's going to be more of the same interception crap that plagued last years titles. The CPU is ********, they're not aggressive at all. I'm TRYING to let them score, and they still can't. Maybe I downloaded the wrong demo or something, because I'm missing the good results many of you seem to be having. One person in this thread ended up downloading the same demo, though - Whoever had the CPU get picked off three times in three drives - Welcome to NCAA '09.

I won't judge the game until July 15th, when I can adjust the sliders HEAVILY in the CPUs favor... That's make or break time.
