I love these cuts and hits and James Laurantisis a beast. Feels good the turnovers havent really been a problem 1 game there was like 4 but that was my fault because i hit wrong button not used to playing football games its been a while but now im getting the hang of it. Anyone made a bobble catch yet or have a ball bounce of there hands and get picked off I am waiting for that.

In the 2 games I played I had a total of 2 user pics, one was a fluke though, I accidently hit the pass button right after the snap. No cpu pics either. We all need to hope it's just the difficulty level, because the demo is just awful, turnover wise. This demo equals out to one full quarter on many peoples franchises, and I'm getting 2 to 3 picks per demo game, which is 2 to 3 CPU turnovers per quarter. I'm not even happy with 3 CPU picks per game, but per quarter? No Thanks.
I'm not as confident in this turnover ''fix'' as most people here. This is a 100% game killer for me, and I'm going out to buy the game as soon as it's released - I'm a bit concerned, to say the least. The guy in the Madden section completely avoided any questions about the turnover ''fix,'' so I'm not sold on Madden either.
I wish more people would address the issue, though.
Also the cpu QB threw a couple of bad balls. One was on an in route, just pass the receivers hands, the other was thrown behind the WR on a slant.Last edited by PVarck31; 06-19-2008, 08:03 PM.Comment

Dude, I shouldn't have to read every detail in the QA threads, I wasnt the one who originally asked the question. I shouldn't have to question that something in the game last year(and many years before) should be in there this year....its not like we're changing platforms here.
So I take it we'll get it back in 2010, eh? At the expense of what, jerseys being eliminated?
This truly baffles me, b/c back in the day from Genesis all the way up to PS1, we were ADDING things year to year. I can't name one game from EA during that time that would get into the 3rd year, and then start removing features.
And even more baffling is that some of you all actually think this is fine.Last edited by stoncold32; 06-19-2008, 08:08 PM.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here
Playing 2 minute quarters I find it hard to draw any real conclusions on game play, just can't get into any sort of flow play calling or playing D.
I enjoyed 08 and thought if they could just fix the cpu throwing 5+ ints a game and give the sliders a bigger effect, it would be top notch.
After playing about 10 games with the demo I can't really tell if cpu throwing lots of picks is fixed or not. Had some games where it wasn't an issue and a few that felt the same as last year.
I think it's better, but seems like it was fixed by altering DBs ability to break up passes, not by fixing how the cpu picks who it throws to which I think is needed big time. Way too many dumb throws by the cpu that make you question if there is even anything behind how it picks who to throw to sometimes. I suppose more time is needed with the demo as some dumb passes are a good thing.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but my rb likes to juke immediately after getting the handoff sometimes when I haven't pushed the R stick.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here
After several games, I have thrown one interception and the A.I. have not thrown any. I have also had one throw fly high and have seen a few where the A.I. has thrown it low. It was cool celebrating with mascots and the cheerleaders look well done. The sidelines though not perfect, have better player models.
Overall the game feels much improved to me from 08' which I did not dislike after the patch. Good luck guys.Comment

You simply don't know what you are talking about here. Calm down. No one is happy its out this year, However there is good reasoning behind it. If you had a ps3 which would you prefer? Progressive lighting or 60fps? I think its a no-brainer. It will be back in next year. And I think most people here accept it. Its been discussed ad nauseum in the Q/A threads. If you can't then I guess wait till 2010.Dude, I shouldn't have to read the QA threads. Played both demos and the 360 version is definitely running smoother than the PS3 version. The PS3 version runs better than last year, but the 360 version still has an extra year under its belt.Florida State Seminoles

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here
some of you guys have to remember even in the nfl or college football turnovers can be few or abundant. How would you like a game that that had a no turnover logic. A game that did whatever was needed to disallow a turnover by the computer. I say this because I played 6 games and saw legit turnovers that happened during desperate times for the cpu. With such little time what do you expect the qb to do when time is short and they're trying to score at the end of the half or game.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here
Things of interest in my game (PS3):
1. FL Screen actually worked
2. I had OSU backed up on their own goal. They throw a pass to a back out in the flats. Wells is all alone and has plenty of room for the 1st down. He catches the ball and slips/falls down.
3. They ran a successful fake punt. If challenges were in, they wouldn't have gotten it spot wise.
4. At the end of the game, I was at OSU's goal and scored 3 times in a row without a TD. 1st time got me a 1st down as I was a few yards outside the 10 when I ran the 1st play. On 3rd and goal (4th overal play), I ran a QB sneak and was finally awarded a TD.
I did like the face that we can choose from 4 plays on the play calling screen instead of selecting the "highlighted' play. The controls are much better "handling" wise. It's gonna take a while to get used to R1 being the throw away the pass button. The int's (3 total) that happened were due to throwing into coverage (2 by CPU).D 36 aka One of the Illest Strong Safeties to play the game... sized/hits like a linebacker or "in the box" safety & runs/covers like a corner!!!!!!!

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here
like i said in an earlier post in this thread. the progressive light was part of the old lighting system. they redid the lighting system(which looks great) and wasn't able to get progressive lighting in with the new lighting system for this years game. its not that they "took it away", it just wasn't made for the new lighting system yet.Dude, I shouldn't have to read every detail in the QA threads, I wasnt the one who originally asked the question. The lighting is good but would be perfect with progressive lighting. I ask this early and not sure if anyone knows... we we actually be able to play night games? (i.e. dark out at the start).Comment

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here
yes, there will be night games. but they will start at night, not progress from day to night.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here
Well given the previous responses. There will probably be 3 options...day, dusk, darkComment
