I'm glad everyone's able to play the demo and give feedback and such.

I left my power brick, av cord, controllers, etc (basically everything except my 360), and the power cord to my flat screen at my friends house...in Missouri..and I live in Texas...lol

..I'm just hoping he can mail it back by July 14th: One day to play the demo, the next to get the game.

I guess I could hit someone up down here and play it then.

But colossal props to everyone who posted any feedback on the demo and the guy who posted the videos.

Just from general feel the demo comes closer to the practically final build we played than the one I played back at the end of April in NYC. Russell pointed out some things and he may be right on those aspects. But overall it seems to be a decent representation of what to expect the release product will be.

does the other builds allow you to do a 360 spin off your back foot wit periloux and hit a wide out in trip coverage 40 yards away?

Has anyone seen the 1 hand tap catch yet? I threw a screen pass to LSU rb and I thought It was overthrown and going out of bounds (high) and #5 tip's it with 1 hand then catches and then get flipped and drops it. (I wish I could have replayed that, cause I would have used my camera video and put the video up showing the sick animation).

I am so happy that they added the automatic shedding of players. I like the fact that if I run up the middle with Wells I can break tackles without always having to truck stick. I want dude's to just miss cause he's so big and strong and has the ability to break tackles. And I have seen tons of just randon broken tackles without having to trigger them in some way (truck stick/juke/spin/ ect...). Wells is a monster in this game. Ive had some big runs with him which feels so rewarding when you go through the middle break a few tackles and then are in the clear for a 68 yd td run. Its a great feeling to do it this way lol.

I also love the fact that when you throw high passes to smaller guys they dont go up and get the ball like the bigger guys. I have seen some dope new catch animation with Hartline, Robiski (sp?)

Downloaded to the PS3 and wasn't that impressed but I was hoping I would be.

From the start when it panned into the stadium I got to look at the awful and pixelated fans that were in the stands, that was my first turn off. I really liked the look of the playing field the grass texture was very good. I ran a play close to the sidelines and the players on the sidelines had the same face and looked bad as well.

The animations were okay but I noticed a lot of the time during tackles the players would sort of slide into place, like they were on ice and not connected to the ground.

I used to love this series too and hope that what I'm seeing is just an early build.

I have bought the last 2 NCAA's and played maybe 10 games, I want to like but I don't know maybe I'm too picky but $60 is really starting to add up when you buy many many games.

              Enough rant.....

is it just me but does the the PS3 version play as fast as Madden 2008 compared to the 360 version of the demo?

It's impossible to judge a thing like this on VARSITY level. STuff like that will happen. It is a level catered to a beginner.

Re: ***OFFICIAL NCAA 09 Demo Discussion & Impressions***

The new right stick stuff felt very natural, I was impressed with that.

Still to twitchy, but I knew that going in, so it wasn't a disappointment.

Animations shoot off too fast, but they're better and more varied... especially some of the new pass rush moves.

                    Lighting is awesome.

Crowd noise is a pleasant surprise. Not 2k8 quality, but good.

Overall, I'm happy with it. I'll be buying the game.

This build has to be old maybe its from the NYC event, but I know for a fact that this isn't the same game. I have scored over 60 points in every game on this demo. The big give away is the option its broken in the demo, in contrast the build we played at community day the option was spot on money.

There are about 5 or 6 other dead give aways in this demo as well but no need to scare the hell out of everybody.

If you like this demo you are going to love this real game. But for me this demo is not a representation of the game we played at community day at all.
Good to hear. There were things I wasn't impressed with, but overall I liked it. Glad to hear I'm in for something better come the 15th.

I don't know if this happened to anyone else but a awesome thing just happened. 3rd and goal from os 4, I call a hb toss out of goaline, #32 drops the the pitch from #11,ball bounces off turf, I manage to pick it up while defenders bear down then out runs some slow guy to the corner and dive in to the edge of the endzone.
I never witness any randomness in any next gen sports game until now (let alone a bobbled pitch)

I guess one reason is the Robo QB, but I think I should just stop hoping for a game that'll have erratic throwing QB's, that's never going to happen.

I'm infinitely more hyped for Top Spin at this point, how sad is that? NCAA used to be my favorite game, I'd play 10 seasons in my dynasty. Last year I played 1 year. Maybe the demo is too easy, I dunno, I just don't think that I should be able to throw 40 yard TD passes off my back foot to a FB with the LSU guy. Dampens the fun somehow. Oh well, I enjoy games in every other sport other than football so I'll survive.

I'm probably completely alone in these thoughts too, I don't know what's wrong with me lol.
I'm right there with you man...I was super stoked for this game (like every year) then I played the demo and was like blahh...I can't put my finger on why. The overall passing does have me bugged like it does you...it really is the same every year and I think I've hit my threshold...at least until a developer gets innovative and does something radicaly different.

For me, it just not fun anymore. It's too bad because I LOVE football.

I guess I'm concerned because Peyton Manning Laser QB has been there in full versions of past years, on all levels....it's no different here, therefore it's probably not different elsewhere either.
