I would for the most part agree with you about cover 2 in the red zone, but the CPU must have had some success offensively against you if the CPU was in the red zone four times. I'm not trying to bash anyone or anything, but saying the demo is too easy is like saying playing NCAA 08 on varsity is too easy. AA and Heisman will definitely be more challenging.
Actually the CPU was in the Red Zone because I was trying different defenses packages just to test things out, just to see how things would work. Then when I finally wanted to stop them just threw a Cover 2 and it's a wrap...Also I took all those INT's back to the house, so of course they going to have to ball and more chances to score. I hardly ever play the CPU anyways when the retail verson comes out, but those turnovers and QB's scrambling easy wont be fixed with AA or Heisman as Russell mentioned, expecially when playing online or with another human who knows about these issues. OSU will become everyone favorite online team with Pryor (87 speed) being the next Mike Vick. It's going to be a cheese fest..

I actually have two questions about the demo. I skimmed through this thread and didn't see them although they are probably there. Here they are:

      1. Will they fix the play clock? I don't understand why it jumps from 35-24 on every play.

      2. Why is Ryan Perriloux still in the game and will he be out in the final build?

Turnovers and QB scrambling has always been difficult to fix in the previous games, and, unfortunately, cheesers will find a way to exploit the game in some what shape or form, they'll always be there. As far as online goes, I don't think those turnovers will be as much of a problem since most human players wouldn't blatantly throw a ball into coverage all of the time. QB scrambling is just something everyone's going to have to deal with. There will be ways to stop it though, and once people get the chance to play other humans online, there will be known plays to stop over aggressive scrambling.

Throwing on the run with is still too accurate as well. While sprinting right (i was past the right hash mark) I threw a 40 yd strike to a man who was left of the left hash mark.

                  CPU had 4 possesions - 1 fumble (which they recovered), 3 picks(one for 6).

I know this is varsity but it's eeerily similar to a typical game last year.

In the "next gen" versions doesnt doesn't feel like you have total control of your men or the annimations are too scripted, like I said I can't put my finger on it...something just doesn't feel right and it's been the same on all "next gen" systems. It's almost like I'm just watching a game rather than playing it....
Dude you may not want to hear this but you are just used to the PS2 version and you're going to have to either be happy playing on that until it's dead or suck it up and switch to next-gen and just play it until you get used to that like you are the past-gen. I know being comfortable with something is very difficult to switch, I had the same issue with going from PS2 to 360 but it won't take as long as you think. You're going to have to ditch that PS2 sometime.

I had a neat thing happen last night - I'm playing as OSU, running a pass play and I see a broken coverage. One of my receivers is about 30 yards down the field wide open, just standing there for an easy TD. I see him and I guess I basically lobbed the ball - and I threw it about 10 yards over his head. The Horseshoe proceeds to go silent. I mean completely silent.

                        I haven't seen a turnover issues yet.

Computer has yet to throw deep on me though.

Now don't get me wrong the finished version still has its share of issues (pass rush, kick offs, excessive drop backs, etc...)

But its a very good game this demo is trash to me. In the demo the option is broken, the juke animations are stiff/laggy, the speed is off, the kick off %%$^%%$ is still in there, the yellow zones don't work (thats why the middle of the field is wide open all the time) etc...... You should be able to score 50 in the demo without even trying.

I will stop there now don't take this as a stamp of approval on the finished game everyone should still play it for themselves, but I wouldn't put a ton of weight in the demo if you don't like it.

Anti might not like the retail version either and its his decision to make just like yours. However I would give this demo a 3 and the game I played at community day a solid 8.5 based on gameplay alone. When we get that patch I think the game will be a 9. I'm just saying for those of you who don't dig the demo there is hope.
That is true. After playing the 08 demo I thought it was a terrible game. But I still play the retail game now.

I will give the demo another chance tonight. Like I said earlier, the thing I don't like are the dusk games. Too much orange.

I don't feel like I can completely agree with this. Yes there are some things that we saw were "fixed" however the general feel of the game is very similar. So I personally wouldn't say that if you dislike the demo you'll feel any differently about the final version, unless the reasoning behind that is those specific issues that had been addressed or due to the difficulty level.

Granted we are playing varisty, but I got decent pressure with my front 4 and the computer go decent pressure on me. Now when I take over at Baylor and I play Texas and I can't come close to the QB without bringing a blitz, it might change my mind.

The other issues was the quick snapping by the computer QB. Really, it's enough time. I wish I had a couple of more seconds, but I think that was way overblown as well.
Well russell said that despite what we see in the demo the build they played, which is after the demo build, does have a pass rush issue. So either there isn't an issue or EA fixed something after the demo build that killed the pass rush. Will know soon enough.
