There Will Be A Madden 09 Demo Before Launch

PastaPadre has discovered that EA Sports is teaming up with 7-Eleven to provide an XBOX 360 playable demo DVD before the launch of Madden NFL 09 on Aug. 12, 2008. For those that don't live near a 7-Eleven, fear not, there will still be a demo provided via XBL and PSN -- presumably around the same time.

To get the playable demo at 7-Eleven you need to order a "Madden Meal," which I assume is a deep fried ham and a 15-pound turducken. And since you will be putting your heart through the torture chamber with a "Madden Meal" 7-Eleven and EA Sports will also provide, "60 minutes of NFL highlights" on the playable demo DVD as well.

well it says u can still download it on xbl i think just the highlights are exclusive tot he 7-11 thing

I like how companies that are in most need of YOUR money are always the ones that make you run around for the company for something that could be simply put on xbox live. knowing that gas cost a soul and a ghost. Clever marketing.....

the 7-11's by me are all gas stations.. so ill just get gas while im there lol

Update: I have received confirmation that the demo will be available on XBL and PSN. The exclusive nature which is referred to has only to do with the NFL highlights that are included. As of yet there is no expected date for the demo to arrive.

So maybe when they read it, that update wasn't there yet.

I guess this explains why you can pre-order Madden at 7-11. There's one in walking distance from my house so I'd do it.
