So I guess no NBA game next year will have the import draft class feature since college hoops is gone...that's dissapointing, I like to bring in draft classes.

Unless they use CH2K8 to import, but I didn't particularly like it because the rookies were never any good, their ratings were so far off, they didn't import well at all.

Maybe they'll let us edit the draft class next year? That wouldn't be a horrible idea.

Well if 2k gives us the ability to edit or create our own draft class we could come close!!

Good article. I agree that the draft needs to be spiced up a bit. As does the element of the coach in NBA games(it doesn't matter who your coach is in these games, whereas in real life we know certain coaches play distinct styles and like certain types of players).

how would editing a draft class help get real college guys into the game? and another thing, does anyone know 4 sure if nba live 09 allows you to imports draft classes?

Stephen A smith??? From what I watch from this year's draft, Stephen A did not look interested in interviewing the draftees. off caamera he look like he saw somebody shot his dog or something, a droopy dude.

But anyways if Stephen A does want to do it in 2k9 it would be a win-win situation, 2k9 got what they need to keep satisifed on the draft end and Stephen A is finally recognize since the cancellation of his show.

absolutely abismal. the nba off-season is by far the worst in all the major sport games.

Yeah it is, barely anything exciting happens in the off-season, except when july 9 comes around every year, something new sometimes happens

Yeah the draft could definatly be improved. They need to add a like a live telecast from the garden where they held the draft and actually show the plyers selected and the commishner snd annouce their names and colleges or country. This would help get a feel for who's playing for whom and know what rookies to watch for. The draft in association draft could definatly be improved, because it has huge impact on your team. Just like the real nba, very few teams had cap space this offseason. You should also be able to trade during the draft. This would really liven things up. That, and the cutscenes. The only thing that even cam close was the present the heisman winner in ncaa 06 (ps2/xbox). Come to think of it , they should present all tye awards. That would be better than menus, and overlays.

I remember EA doing something like this in NBA live 2004 that was the last great live. If 2k9 can take that aspect they can truley be the great sports video game company.

the pre-draft workouts in 2k are one of my favorite aspects of the game. i remember the first time i tried it. i needed a power forward, but this point guard in the 5-5 really stood out. i had a lottery selection and he was rated mid -first round. i took him anyway and he was rookie of the year. jumped to the mid-80's to start the second year.

i now look every year for the same thing to happen.
