i just dont like how the jumpshot and net looks thats whats unnatural to me but it looks like theres a lot of live fanboys are in here because their saying people are far up 2k's u guys sound far up ea;s ***. this is a good feature though but it is another one of ea's gimmicks like dub trey said because they always cover up their bad gameplay with their great features u know its true....im not a fan boy i just like basketball games. so i buy both live and 2k but traditionally 2k has been better and most of u will see at the press conference...

Nice about the DNA thing, but I can't get over how those rims look. It had the same cartoony look back on the last gen systems

How is this feature a gimmick? I mean its being used to help improve the gameplay and its giving us some things we have never experienced before in a sports game, like daily roster updates. I can understand you not liking the animations but come on this is far from being a gimmick.Comment

Since I was the only one who Quoted Dub! You were referring to me. You know the fanboy of EA that is doing College Hoops 2k9 rosters, wait, thats made by 2k.
The guy who owns every 2k game ever made since Sega Saturn, but you know I love EA man.
You know the guy who does College Hoops rosters, NBA 2k covers, NFL 2k, and All-Pro Football Videos. But damn I love EA. Know your history son, before trying to agree with another rookie and his bad comments.
Also know that the previous Live designers, you know the ones that made that horrid 07. Are not the same guys who made 08 or the ones that are working on 09. And it shows in their efforts.
I for once just matured enough unlike a lot of the children on here, who continue to turn everything into a flame and fanboy rant fest.
The NBA Team, who happens to work for a department of EA sports, since they are seperate groups. Seem to have made great efforts to bring back the Live series. So far they have done nothing less than show us promise, on top of promise.
But my beloved 2ksports has yet to show anything, but he say articles. You know that group, I've supported for over 13 years.
I finally give EA's Basketball games some credit and I'm labeled. Check my gamertag and my gamer history before making immature comments.
Grow up already, these are games for us to enjoy, stop always trying to divide the groups. People can love and like more than 1 basketball game each season, without be jumped on or criticized.
Only people that should be pointed out, are people who make whack statements about a series they could care less about, but instead continues to downplay, and a series, they haven't purchased nor played, but go by demo's and videos. Gets some hands on and put in some honest unbias efforts and then you can talk bad about something.
In the meantime, grow up with the rest of us, who are being opened minded, mature and rational about the efforts that are presented to us. And *coughing* at least this group is showing us something, instead of hiding.
Visual Concepts team has too much talent, and Take-Two is tarnishing their image with the lack of info and efforts to promote the 2k9 games.
I feel bad for my boy Simballer, I know he's angry about their marketing but is loyal to the company. I hope someone leaks out something. So we can finally see 2k9.
I thought this season we might even get 3 games this years. But Sony's NBA '09 is terrible. (I guess if I said it looked great, I'd be a Sony fanboy) sarcasm end!Comment

They fail to promote every-single-year. That is their reputation. Lack of promotion should be expected. Nothing is tarnished. A bad game would tarnish their reputation, not lack of E3 hype.
Is that something that should be announced publicly?

I love the DNA feature. That looks great. The gestures and animations are still way too robotic for me. I could get over it if the gameplay felt smooth, but right now that stiffness is still off putting.Comment

I admit 1 thing. 2k delivers each year, but it doesn't deny the fact, that they need to expand the market. I get tired of waiting on them to finally boost their efforts and become greatly known. Sega put them on the map strong, and take - two has killed that since they got them.
No doubt 2k9 will be great, but how great! We said 2k7 was the greatest and they would have a hard time getting better. 2k8 was better but not by much. Thats why my expectations are much greater for 2k9, because Live 09 is leaps and bounds better than 07, and definitely looking better than 08.
So 2k has real competition this year, its time for them to bring it strong.
Its just me talking, nothing spoken on his part. I'm just saying if I was him, I'd be angry. He might be cool with it. And its not an issue, he works for them, I don't. He might have an Ace up his sleeve thats why he's not worried.

It looks good gfx wise, but favour their more cartoony look, I know it´s an art direction decision, but they look less real but more defined.
I don´t get this though, even if Live improve alot, they were still so far behind I think they need atleast 2 more years to catch up.Comment

but you can give full game vids, 100+ pics and a demo tommorow and I could care less if the game isnt better than the comp...I will buy the best NBA game out there everytime..whatever that may beComment
