Re: NBA 2K9 First Look (Gamespot)

Maybe they are using the commentary from 2k8 because they don't want to display the new presentation until closer to release.

Plus maybe the e3 build is early stages. And they'll show a later build on Gamespot.com like they do every year, OnDaSpot!

Either way its time to show something. I want to see once and for all, what is in all these preview write ups.

    Show me!!!! Show me!!!!

anyway...i hope they have less canimations this time around..there were plenty of those in 2k8 that gave me fits..either tone it down or get rid of some of them all together..

THATS THE REALEST THING SAID IN THIS BLOG! we (you) doubt 2k every year but the gap is SO large between Live & NBA 2K that there should be no reason to panic and nag (especially for sim-heads)

negatively speculate off of first impressions once again and sit back & enjoy ur *** off after this year's nba 2k's release... once again

P.S. - i'm sure they probably dont put out early looks at their basketball games because it takes time to put together new build PREVIEWS without unfixed flaws... that everybody would pick apart if they saw (they listen to their loyal OS fans and know their tendencies... I'M appreciative of that)

You're right, the lead passing exploit is horrible. They also still have guys shooting long 2 pointers because they can't get their feet outside the three point line. If a guy has a shooting motion that makes his feet go forward in 2k8, it's almost impossible to shoot corner three's.

The help defense and double team also needs a ton of work. The way double teams and help defense works in 2k is very mechanical and doesn't feel at all like real life.

I hope they can find a way to bring back the fluidnes of dribbling to shooting like NBA 2k7 while still implementing the foot planting...I think everyones J should be quicker overall
