OMT, could you guys (in patch #2) patch in that "demo" camera angle in campus legend mode (when u watch a play) to cpu vs cpu play instead of the default camera, or even that press box wide cam when u look at highlights? that would be really appropriated!

Adam, I appreciate you being upfront with us and interacting here as much as you have.

I'm not asking for, nor do I think that anybody else is asking for, an exact date for the second patch release. Furthermore, I understand that there's a lot involved in terms of what happens after the patch leaves the studio before it gets released to the public.

But it would go a long way if we could get some sort of general timeline for when you expect to complete work on the second patch. Again, I'm not asking for a specific date or anything, but if you could give us a general sense of how much longer you expect to work on it (one or two weeks, or a couple months), that would be great.

I thought I did answer this. We fixed the cause of the crashes that Fairdale and CDJ saw, which is editing the roster after going into the EA Locker. I posted the temporary workaround when we found it, which was rebooting your console after going in there.

Then we fixed the bug that is preventing full rosters from being done. If you don't go into EA Locker, you can edit about 115 teams before you run into crashes and disappearing teams.

Basically, there were two ways to cause the same bug. We found them by combing through the code as we couldn't get reproducible steps from the guys who had experienced it.

We also made a one line fix that will stop the depth chart from being reordered whenever you edit a player. I hope this will make the roster editors feel a little better after what they went through hitting these bugs. I know they've been asking us to stop the depth chart reorder for a while. You can still run into a harmless bug if you change a guy to a position that we don't allow you to put him at (ie put a QB at DT), but it is easily solved by reordering him out of his old position in the depth chart which you'll want to do anyway.

look, we get it. You want the sliders to be patched. You don't need to contiously post this type of comment in the various threads in the NCAA Forum. This is the 5th post like this in this forum alone, since your initial question to Adam.

Thats enough. He's already stated that he won't disclose what they are looking to patch. Lets wait and see.

No, I was telling him that we don't know what will be included in the 2nd patch. My bad, I didn't make that clear.

I don't think that's the case, but I understand why you are hesitant to do so.

Here's my pitch. Right now there are a bunch of us that feel like the game needs the second patch before it will be very much fun to play. We understand that you guys are working on it, and that it will take some time before it gets released, but we have no general timeframe right now to estimate that against. Is it reasonable to expect a patch before September? Should we plan on waiting until December, like we did last year and in 07? Obviously you can see that this is a very big window, and for those people who feel like the patch is necessary to enjoy the game, that adds a considerable amount to our frustration. If we had some idea as to when a patch would be available, or at least when you would complete work on it and pass it on to MS and Sony -- even if you just gave us a general estimate with a "if we don't have any major setbacks" clause, that would go a long way in calming people down. We're capable of understanding that things happen, and schedules get delayed, but right now nobody has any kind of framework for even understanding the patch process, because it has only been very recently that sports games on consoles even received patches to address gameplay issues. As it stands right now, we are completely in the dark about how expansive a gameplay patch can even be, which of the now widely discussed issues can even be addressed in a patch, or how long (generally) we should plan on waiting before the patch comes out. Given the severe discontent that many of us have with the game as it currently stands, you can surely understand why this lack of even the most basic information adds to the frustration.

They need to fix online dynasty before they start working on a gameplay patch. It is unplayable the way it is right now. There might be things that we want improved gameplay wise but those should be put on the back burner until online dynasties are patched up. They were the big feature for this years game and they should at least make sure it works correctly. There is no need to have 60 years worth of online dynasty if you can't successfully make it out of year 1 without something going wrong.

With all due respect, what is the use in having an online dynasty if the gameplay isn't fun? But I would think that they would address online dynasty issues at the same time the address gameplay issues.

We don't know what the problem you are experiencing in online dynasty stems from, so I don't know if it is a patch or a server thing. PM me a daytime phone number because the engineers might need to ask you a bunch of questions to get to the bottom of this. Online dynasties are not broken.. most people have no trouble. We don't know what happened to yours yet but we will look into it tomorrow.

I hope the gameplay improves as well. I just think the online dynasties need to be fixed asap. From past years, it will be months before a gameplay patch comes out. I am hoping they fix online dynasty sooner than that.

I am fairly confident there are SERVER issues with online dynasty. Everything runs beautifully except the serve can't get things accurate, it can't connect you to your dynasty after a game, people are getting their dynasties overwritten by others.

Great job on the OD...just hopefully the server issues are resolved.
